EPISODE REVIEW - EMMERDALE TURNS 50 AS LIV DIES FROM HER INJURIES

Tonight's episode (19th October) saw the aftermath of the storm becoming more apparent, and in a way that many of us viewers were left shocked over especially when it revealed an injured Liv Dingle which ended in some heartbreaking moments.

Tonight's episode was written by Adam Sales, and directed by Tim O'Mara.

Tonight started with Liv and Vinny Dingle lying under the caravan that Vinny escaped from as he worried for his wife as she was revealed to be trapped with Aaron rushing to help as Liv shouted out for them to stop. I'm super worried for Liv, I know there has been talk for a while of her possibly but my god if this is the way she goes I'll be devastated, Liv is one character I love and have enjoyed watching as a whole. Vinny tried to comfort his wife, Mandy arrived in shock of the state Liv was in. I'm still in shock especially when she admits to them about not being able to feel her legs. Love how Vinny is trying to reassurance her despite the uncertainty of the situation. I'm just in shock!

As the ambulance service its obvious how hurt, Liv was as Paddy informed Vinny that the caravans the one thing keeping her alive. I'm an emotionally wreck wow, I didn't expect to get this emotional. Vinny's in a state of denial as Aaron goes to see his sister where they chat is an emotional one especially as she says how grateful she is that he came back. Liv bringing up about how Aaron was the one who found her - powerful! Danny Miller and Isobel Steele are fantastic actors.

It was during Liv's scene with Vinny that I caught myself realising how much I love this pairing, and how much they support one another in the bad times. Liv wanting Vinny to promise to do these things for the pair of them. Vinny being in denial breaks me, I can't cope! The music playing makes it even more powerful, especially as after the 'I love you' scene she died!

Isobel Steele, you are a massive loss to the show. Good luck for what's to come.

Lydia Dingle arrived at the hospital with Amelia Spencer where they bumped into Wendy Posner who helped them. The way both Amelia and Lydia are petrified got me, you could see how worried they both were for different reasons. Karen Blick does emotional scenes extremely well. As Noah Dingle arrived at the hospital to support Amelia, it was lovely to see him show up and support her - if you follow me on twitter you know how much I love the fact that Noah has stepped up and been there for Amelia. Dan Spencer soon arrived at the hospital to be greeted by Lydia who noticed his state as he told her about Harriet's death, where Lydia soon learnt about Sam's state. The panic on her face said it all.

Also tonight, Nate Robinson managed to get Sam Dingle free seeing him and Belle plan to get him to the hospital. Charity Dingle is shocked to learn about Chas being in hospital. Nicola King and Charles Anderson reach safety and as he helps her to calm down. As much as the characters hate one another the fact they both show vulnerability seeing Nicola open up. Marlon Dingle and Mary Goskirk continue to worry as they both ended up shouting at one another over their stress of a missing Rhona who soon arrived home. You can see how much Marlon loves Rhona.

This episode of Emmerdale aired tonight (Wednesday 19th October) on ITV at 7.30pm with Emmerdale continuing tomorrow (Thursday 20th October) at 7.30pm.
