Today (Friday 4th September), singer-songwriter, Stella Lain who describes herself as The Country Barbie is releasing her latest single, The Meaning of Love. The Meaning of Love  begins with sweet sounding guitar instrumental that Stella's crisp tones compliment very well from the first word, but there is something so special and unique about the chorus that instantly caught me getting a little emotional over as its the beginning of everything. However, I have to admit the songwriting throughout the second verse was very poignant and the part in the song where you believe that you could finally be getting your happily ever after. The storytelling throughout The Meaning of Love makes for some brilliant listening, hearing this side of an artist for me is the most beautiful as it's the point you can easily decide if you like the song or not and Stella, I love this one. During a twist in tonight's Emmerdale episode (Tuesday 1st September), viewers to the Yorkshire based soap finally discovered the true motivation behind detective Thea Ramsden's relentless pursuit of Kim Tate where the episode concluded with a poignant flashback that recontextualised a long ago event of Kim's past.  This was a very clever move in my opinion. The closing moments transported the audience back in time, showing a younger Kim Tate reflected in the glass of a hospital baby unit. As she gazed at her newborn, a nurse inquired if she was certain about her decision to proceed with adoption. When asked if the child had a name, Kim revealed she had always been fond of the name, "Anthea". The scene then switched to the present day, focusing in on DS Thea Ramsden's police name badge - confirming the detective is the daughter Kim gave up decades ago. This revelation confirms that Ramsden's presence in the village is fueled by a deeply personal vendetta...

As Joe visits his tiny newborn son in NICU at the hospital with Kim Tate by his side, he holds his hand through the incubator with Kim hoping this is the beginning of a breakthrough. Soon, Joe shares that he's made a decision about his son's future. Emmerdale airs Monday - Friday at 8pm on ITV1, and YouTube, and ITVX from 7am.

The weeks worth of Emmerdale  episodes have seen Dawn Fletcher and Joe Tate at the forefront who were set to get married with a lot of drama along the way, with some emotional moments. *Thank you, Emmerdale for the different parts of the day in the intro's* Monday's episode (24th August) set the week up brilliantly as it began with an excited Joe Tate as the groom and Graham Foster shared a heart-to-heart, whilst Dawn worried about her next move with Billy Fletcher, but Dawn using her dad Will Taylor's death to play Kim Tate was a harsh move. The way that Dawn stood up for herself to Graham over Joe admitting that she loves Joe despite everything, as Graham stood up for Joe left Dawn questioning Billy's 'work accident'. Today (Friday 28th August) will see US singer-songwriter,  Lauren Alaina  release her brand new album, Stages which is made up of 16 songs forming three different stages of her life. Stage 1: The Dreaming Babies Raising Babies (featuring Tyler Suddeth)  features Lauren reminisces about her childhood that I caught myself getting a little teary over as you could hear a mix of emotions remembering me of the reason I became a fan of Lauren's music in the first place. The songwriting is beautiful throughout, but Tyler's vocals and harmonies are a wonderfully addition. Tyler's vocals on the second verse added a wonderful family dynamic to the song that made it even more special as you can hear how proud Lauren is to have her brother on this track. Photo Credit: Sophia Mantinazad Who I Am To You  has an upbeat instrumental mixed with Anne's crisp rocky tone alongside the heartfelt lyrics is the perfect blend. The honesty within all three verses is beautiful with the lyrics being ones I caught myself at times connecting with. The chorus' super catchy and strong making you realise that 'Who I Am is Who I Am To You' is different to every single person in our lives and that's ok whether it's good or not, and at every stage in our lives. The feelings of empowerment throughout is brilliant. However, there is something about the second verse that reminds you it's ok to not have healed from bad experiences and having these mixed feelings is normal, the bridge highlighting the songs key lyrics is great. It's been a long time since I wrote an opinion piece on Hollyoaks and Frankie Osborne especially. However, the past few weeks have seen a change in the character, and one I am enjoying seeing even though, I have a feeling the character will end up being the one to get hurt. Since the car crash, the character was injured in back in April, it's safe to say that Frankie Osborne's direction has taken a turn since her dance school journey was put on hold due to her injury, however since the Keanes' have arrived a new side of Frankie has been shown since meeting her now boyfriend, Caleb who was also injured in the crash alongside Jack's daughter, Beth, her husband Jonah and son, Maddox. However with Frankie already knowing too much about Caleb's step-mum, Beth Keane after discovering a box hidden under her bed with a teddy bear, and a ripped photo hiding the truth. Today (Friday 3rd July) British country duo,  The Shires  made up of singer-songwriters, Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes have released their brand new album, Bonfire which is made up of 12 tracks. Opening up the new era of The Shires' music and album is  Bonfire Song which is an upbeat song which I personally feel opens up this album up brilliantly. There is something beautifully about Ben's opening vocals that made me want to get up and dance, whilst also reminding me why I enjoy The Shires' music so much. Crissie and Ben's harmonies within the chorus are beautifully soulful, setting up the second verse wonderfully for Crissie with Ben's harmonies continuing. Getaway Car  is a brilliantly written song and a great first release of their new album. Crissie and Ben's tones together especially in the first verse, along with their harmonies are beautiful giving a raw feel.
