ALBUM REVIEW - CASSADEE POPE - STAGES - OUT FRIDAY 1ST FEBRUARY

Tomorrow (Friday 1st February) will see US singer-songwriter,  Cassadee Pope release her new album after 6 years, however, Cassadee has released music between the albums and all have led her to where she is today! Cassadee's Stages album is made up of 11 songs. Take You Home  starts with an upbeat guitar instrumental which gives this song a funky feel which I just love. The first verse demonstrates Cassadee's softer vocals allowing her to express herself and allow listeners to relate. The chorus is one that I couldn't help by sing along too and I love hearing the happy side of Cassadee's music. The second verse carries the song amazingly allowing Cassadee to tell a story perfectly and the chorus compliments wonderfully and goes perfectly into the third. The lyrics are stunning and showcase Cassadee's vocal ability perfectly. Take You Home was written for Cassadee by Paul Digiovanni, Ben Hayslip and Emily Weisband. One More Red Light has a wonderful guitar i

SINGLE REVIEW - MAREN MORRIS - GIRL

Yesterday, Maren Morris announced that she would be releasing her latest single, Girl and TODAY (17th January) she did and I love the song so I thought I would review the song for you here. Girl was written by Maren, Sarah Aarons and Greg Kurstin. Girl is one of those songs that is amazing from the moment you hear the first word. Just hearing the chords at the start I was getting emotional then Maren comes in with her meaningful vocal which I have to admit give me goosebumps. I instantly felt myself wanting to sing along with the song in between getting all emotional and I am sure many of you were too?! All the three verses are rather special and feature some extremely heartfelt and emotional lyrics that most of us girls have been through and suffered from these feelings, plus knowing Maren’s been through those feelings will help others and show them that’s it’s ok - that we are all only human! The chorus for me connected the most because you really get the meaning of the

SINGLE REVIEW - ROYAL SOUTH - CRY, CRY

This Friday (18th January) will see this amazingly talented trio, Royal South release their debut single Cry, Cry. Royal South is made up of Sara Beth, Glen Mitchell and Vickie Vaughn. 'There is something so special and unique about The Royal South.' Cry, Cry starts with a loud instrumental which showcases their amazing instrumental skills. Moments later, Sara Beth, Vickie and Glen's vocals come in with Sara Beth taking the lead which I have to admit is amazing (being a big Sara Beth fan but now a The Royal South fan aha). All three verses of Cry, Cry are very catchy which I absoultely loved plus the fact I caught myself wanting to dance along at different parts of the song (which I hope you can do too!). The chorus is my favourite part of the song because of the catchiness but always feature some fabulous harmonies from Sara Beth, Vickie and Glen which are rather special and I just adored how magical this trio is. Finally, I have to say I absoultely love the

This Friday (11th January) will see US singer-songwriter,  Olivia Lane  (who is one of my ones to watch in 2019) releasing her first single of 2019. Hey 3am which is an extremely moving song. I was kindly given the opportunity to review Hey 3am below you can read it. Hey 3am starts with a beautiful guitar instrumental which sets the song of beautifully before Olivia comes in with her moving lyrics which I couldn't help but connect with right from the start and I am sure many of you will be able to do too. Hey 3am starts with lyrics that everyone is able to relate too, with those thoughts we have when we can't sleep and I know for me its around 3am. There is something so magical and moving within Olivia's slight vocal change of Hey 3am that gave me goosebumps and her song-writing is just incredible. The chorus features from wonderful lyrics that get you thinking and I am so glad Olivia has written this song from her perspective which I just adore which leads to th
