SINGLE REVIEW - ANNE WILSON - WHO I AM TO YOU

Image
Tomorrow (Friday 21st August) will see singer-songwriter, Anne Wilson release her brand new single, Who I Am To You. Photo Credit: Sophia Mantinazad Who I Am To You  has an upbeat instrumental mixed with Anne's crisp rocky tone alongside the heartfelt lyrics is the perfect blend. The honesty within all three verses is beautiful with the lyrics being ones I caught myself at times connecting with. The chorus' super catchy and strong making you realise that 'Who I Am is Who I Am To You' is different to every single person in our lives and that's ok whether it's good or not, and at every stage in our lives. The feelings of empowerment throughout is brilliant. However, there is something about the second verse that reminds you it's ok to not have healed from bad experiences and having these mixed feelings is normal, the bridge highlighting the songs key lyrics is great. SINGLE REVIEW - EMILY ANN ROBERTS - LAUNDRY

Image
Today (Friday 14th August), singer-songwriter, Emily Ann Roberts is releasing her latest single, Laundry. Photo Credit: Matthew Berinato Emily Ann's crisp tones begin  Laundry brilliantly allowing for her songwriting to shine through. Laundry is one emotional that much is obvious from the first line as you can feel a mix of emotions as you can hear the unfaithfulness of a relationship, whilst also reminding yourself that it's ok to be in slow line in life as you begin to get yourself back together alongside wanting more, whilst having a 90's country feel. However, on the flip side it's about the people that only ever air other people's laundry and not always for the right reasons - it's a song that lets you decide your take! Its the second verse into chorus that I caught myself getting teary over as the meaning of song changed once again, and couldn't stop myself feeling for anyone that has ever been in that situation, whilst hearing Emily Ann's gorge...

Image
This week's interview with Karissa Ella who released her latest single, The Country on Friday 24th July. I was very lucky to have had the opportunity to catch up with to talk about this single, and plans for the rest of 2026. Hello Karissa,  You recently released The Country, can you please tell us a little about the song? The Country is really just a big thank you to the people who make our everyday lives possible. I think we all enjoy the food on our tables, the clothes on our backs, and the roofs over our heads, but we don't always stop and think about where it all starts. This song is a fun, feel good reminder that so much of what we use every single day comes from the country and from the hardworking people who make it happen. How have you found the response to the song? It's been so cool! I've had people from all walks of life reaching out saying, “What a great reminder” Or just simply loving the whole vibe of the song! It’s been great feedback! I have to ask as a...
