EPISODE REVIEW - WHY TONIGHT'S CORONATION STREET EPISODE WERE FANTASTIC!

Tonight's double episodes of Coronation Street were nothing short of amazing, and a special shout out has to go to Mollie Gallagher, Sally Carman, especially as well as Millie Gibson, Maximus Evans, and  Harry Visinoni who came back to film these scenes for tonight's episodes. Tonight's episodes were standout for me as they featured some of the most heart-breaking scenes especially with Nina Lucas recreating the events of the evening and everything that happened helping her to fill in the gaps. The episode started with a pan of the cobbled street which saw the flashbacks begin, but also going back the present day very cleverly done with the directing from Abe Juckes -  I have nothing but praise for you and we aren't even 5 minutes in  as Nina told Roy Cropper that she can remember parts from the day. In the cafe, Abi Franklin comes to check on Nina where she admits how she is feeling Nina is then seen revisiting the scene of where she and Seb Franklin were when he was

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEIGHBOURS - MY MEMORIES

As I am currently listening to this afternoon BBC Radio 2's show with Scott Mills to celebrate the 36 years of Neighbours, it got me thinking about the memories I have of watching the show so I thought why not wrote a blog on it. Neighbours is a show for me that I remember being on in the background as I would visit my grandparents throughout my childhood but it wasn't until 2013/ 2014, I started to watch properly so I thought I would share with you my memories. Neighbours was created by Reg Watson airing for the first time in Australia on 18th March, 1985. Neighbours has featured has some of the most iconic characters in Susan, and Karl Kennedy to Paul Robinson, alongside Charlene and Scott Robinson, to finally the incredible characters that were Harold and Madge Bishop. One of the very first memories, I always think of when I think of Neighbours would be the 30th Anniversary back in 2015 which saw Delta Goodrem return to perform as part of their festival line up that is one m

Image
Today (Friday 20th August) will see US country music trio,  Runaway June  made up of Jennifer Wayne, Naomi Cooke and Natalie Stovall release a 3-track EP called backstory. backstory is made of 3 songs that "tell the stories and paint the picture of the heartbreak, joy & freedom that comes along with growing up & moving forward. They represent the road to loving yourself & ultimately someone else." - Runaway June's twitter Photo Credit: CeCe Dawson Forgot About That  has a country rootsy feel instrumental which I have to admit, I absolutely love opening this EP wonderfully.  The first verse sees this country feel come to life with all the hometown memory feels, and you can hear how much seeing that one person again can bring up so much from your past that you had forgot about not making it any easier.  The chorus of Forgot About That   features some sassy upbeat vocals from the ladies in the most beautiful way allowing for their harmonies to shine through too.

EP REVIEW - ELERI ANGHARAD - NIGHTCLUB FLOOR

Image
This Friday (13th August) will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter,  Eleri Angharad release her brand new EP, Nightclub Floor. Nightclub Floor is made up of 5 songs which is made up of over 2 years worth of work. Photo Credit:  Jumarey Mosuela New Sin  starts with a drumming instrumental which compliments Eleri's vocal range really well as she goes into the first verse.  The first verse sees Eleri's crisp and pure vocal at the forefront allowing for the lyrics to come through straight away ain turn allowing for the wonderful story telling to shine through. The chorus of New Sin sees Eleri sharing some rather catchy lyrics that you can hear she is passionate about which gives the song a new life. Love it when an artist is so passionate about what they have written about making the listeners feel many different emotions.  The second verse continues Eleri's soft vocal show with the message of the song continuing taking another new turn, love the attention to detail as

WHY EMMERDALE ARE RIGHT TO SHOWCASE ITS YOUNGER CAST

It's been a while since I have written a blog like this but at the start of the year, Emmerdale producer, Jane Hudson announced that the show would be having its younger cast members at the forefront of 2021, and you know what they have been amazing over the past 8 months. Gabby Thomas ' teenage pregnancy has seen many different elements shown within her character which has seen the character become stronger in turn allowing for Rosie Bentham to give as an actress. The vulnerability within Gabby has seen the character lean on Laurel Thomas especially when it come to discovering she was pregnant, wanting to make her dad, Ashley Thomas proud despite everything, Diane Sugden and especially, Kim Tate since her pregnancy. The return of her mother, Bernice Blackstock back at the end of May as seen another side of Gabby that has been lovely as a viewer to see as you can see how vulnerable she really is, and this week as showed this side of the character once again, whilst also managin

SINGLE REVIEW - EMILY FAYE - SUMMER FEELING

Today (Friday 6th August) will see British singer-songwriter,  Emily Faye  release her brand new single, Summer Feeling. Emily wrote Summer Feeling as part of the 5 minute song feature which she does over on instagram. Summer Feeling was written by Emily, and fellow British singer-songwriter, Poppy Fardell. Summer Feeling  starts with a summery feeling guitar instrumental which I have to say gives off this warm summery vibe throughout. The first verse sees Emily's soft but crisp vocal which allows us to hear the lyrics based on summer memories and the feelings you only get during the summer months that moved me as I caught myself relating to them reminding me of the incredible summer memories, I have made over the past few weeks. The chorus features a journey that you go on in the car or walking with friends about the breeze, and all the memories you make doing them. The lyrics are super catchy - perfect for the summer days that August will hopefully give us. The second verse conti
