EPISODE REVIEW - WHY TONIGHT'S CORONATION STREET EPISODE WERE FANTASTIC!

Tonight's double episodes of Coronation Street were nothing short of amazing, and a special shout out has to go to Mollie Gallagher, Sally Carman, especially as well as Millie Gibson, Maximus Evans, and Harry Visinoni who came back to film these scenes for tonight's episodes.

Tonight's episodes were standout for me as they featured some of the most heart-breaking scenes especially with Nina Lucas recreating the events of the evening and everything that happened helping her to fill in the gaps.

The episode started with a pan of the cobbled street which saw the flashbacks begin, but also going back the present day very cleverly done with the directing from Abe Juckes - I have nothing but praise for you and we aren't even 5 minutes in as Nina told Roy Cropper that she can remember parts from the day. In the cafe, Abi Franklin comes to check on Nina where she admits how she is feeling
Nina is then seen revisiting the scene of where she and Seb Franklin were when he was attacked alongside Seb's mum, Abi, Summer Spellman, and Asha Alahan with Summer offering to go to where she was on the day. Meanwhile, as Imran Habeeb was seen visiting Kelly Neelan who was rather emotional over the events that had happened with her telling him of her innocence - I really felt for her because you could see how scared she was!

My emotions were all over the place as the flashbacks continued as well as the prison scenes that saw Corey Brent's story of the evenings events start to fall apart when talking to his solicitor. As the first half of the evenings episodes end, Nina finally remembers that it was Corey who hurt Seb, and not Kelly.

In the second episode of the evening, Nina was more confident than ever of Corey Brent and Kelly Neelan's involvement with Corey being the one who was responsible for Seb's death.

With Kelly telling Imran her side of the events that happened that evening with confidence you could hear the innocence within her voice and with the flashback continuing to be shown to us viewers of Kelly's involvement - Millie's emotional portrayal was something that made for some rather emotionally viewing. I loved how the walls were closing in on Corey.

Back in the cafe, Nina returns home with Abi which sees her tell Roy that Nina remembered the events as Simon Barlow was in the cafe too, we all know how determined he is to prove Kelly's innocence. Simon continues his fight for Kelly as he goes to give Imran the good news at the solicitors.

The flashbacks once again have me an emotional wreck, what an incredibly strong young cast Coronation Street have as these episodes tonight are proving.

Back on the cobbles, Summer, and Aadi seen supporting Asha has us viewers saw her have many flashbacks to the aftermath, it was nice to see Asha's vulnerability shown.

The scene where Imran was seen to tell Kelly the good news about what Simon told them on what Nina said about what happened you could see so much relief on her face.

In the final scene of tonight's episode, Nina was seen in Victoria Gardens where Roy offered to accompany her to the police station which she took his offer off.
I love how Seb was protecting Nina right up until the very end, and the way that the final scene of the episode was shot has viewers feeling many different emotions, but for me the attention to detail is everything.

Ian Kershaw, and Abe Juckes - please take a bow for all your incredible work on tonight's episodes alone who I have to praise for their wonderfully written episodes tonight with such sensitivity - Thank you, Coronation Street!

PLEASE TAKE A BOW for tonight's incredible performances - Mollie Gallagher, Sally Carman, Millie Gibson, Maximus Evans, and Harry Visinoni - I have no doubt these episodes have raised awareness!

I also have to thank Tanisha Gorey, Harriet Bibby, and Adam Hussain for being brilliant in tonight's episodes too.

You can watch these episodes of Coronation Street on Monday 20th August on ITV.
