DEBUT SINGLE REVIEW - HALLE KEARNS - PICK ME UP

This Friday (31st July) will see US Country-Pop singer-songwriter,  Halle Kearns  release her DEBUT single, Pick Me Up. You can read my interview with Halle here . Pick Me Up starts with a guitar instrumental which I have to admit after hearing only a couple of seconds - my god I am in love with this song already! In a way that I am freaking out already! There is a proper country feel to Pick Me Up that I am VERY EXCITED about people hearing. The first verse sees Halle's upbeat vocal range being demonstrated in the most beautiful, and unique way that I have nothing but praise for Halle on. The lyrics are just beautiful allowing Halle many opportunities to show off many of her stunning vocal ranges. The chorus features some incredibly, beautiful, and fun lyrics that I have to admit had me singing along right from the very start leaving me feeling very overwhelmed with the fact that this is only Halle's debut single. The upbeat instrumental for the song is something that

EP REVIEW - LAURA EVANS - RUNNING BACK TO YOU

This Friday (31st July) will see Welsh singer-songwriter,  Laura Evans  release her brand new EP, Running Back To You. Running Back To You features 5 songs. Drag Me Back In starts straight in with the first verse with a little instrumental which compliments Laura's vocal one wonderfully. The first verse sees Laura's upbeat vocals being demonstrated with a rocker side from the vocals being given which I have to admit, I like a lot - as it shows us all another side of Laura. The lyrics are ones of fun, and whilst being super catchy. The chorus of Drag Me Back In features some wonderfully rocky but heartfelt vocals as you get a real feel for the song, and it's meaning which I have to admit I find very different, but one I am very much looking forward to hearing live once we can get back to live music. I love hearing sassy Laura! The second verse continues Drag Me Back In fantastically as Laura's vocal range changes, and it adds another fabulous layer to the song. The

WHY THIS WEEK'S 4 EPISODES OF HOLLYOAKS FAVOURITES HAVE BEEN AMAZING VIEWING

This week on E4 at 7pm Hollyoaks Favourites showed Hannah Ashworth's anorexia storyline from September 2007 (if I remember rightly?) This storyline for me is one that I remember watching as a early teenager, and being so overwhelmed but watching it back this week left me feeling even more emotional - this is one week of episodes I am glad was chosen to be reshown as it displayed to everyone watching why Emma Rigby is an incredible actress, you can definitely see why this storyline won Emma the Best Actress Award in 2008 at The British Soap Awards. One thing that still gets me about this storyline was Rhys cold-hearted, and insensitive support to his little sister through her struggle - I get that he cares for her but this was one step too far for me. However, looking back it is obvious to see how influenced Hannah was from her friend, Melissa that she met in hospital which is just devastating to see. I also wished Hannah had realised her problems before she was forced i

NEXT WEEK ON CORRIE: THE FIRST CORRIE SOCIAL DISTANCE STUNT AS GARY AND SARAH END UP IN TROUBLE

Next week on the Cobbles of Weatherfield, viewers will see Coronation Street do their first social distance stunt featuring Sarah Barlow who recently got married to solicitor, Adam Barlow and Gary Windass after Gary is left injured. Next week's Weatherfield episodes, viewers will see Gary Windass' time appear to be limited as Sarah Barlow is sold a watch from Bernie Winter. Things appear to be getting worse for Gary in next Wednesday's episode as he gives Bernie a pile of cash telling her that she wants the watch back for his Dad's birthday and tells her to buy the watch back from Sarah.  Will Gary be able to get away without it? However, as Bernie does her best to get the watch back from Sarah as she offers her double what she bought it for, Sarah is still refusing, but once she realises that Gary is the one who wants it she heads over to speak to him demanding to know if he is the one that killed Rick - but how will Gary react to being asked this question? I sense a

You can also see Northern Souvenirs on our instagram page ALL DAY on their release day. Photo Credit: Jakkrid Siripanich Niagara Falling starts with a dreamy guitar instrumental which I have to admit gives me some summer vibes, and one I loved hearing. The first verse sees Alex take the lead which is quickly enjoyed by Lisa's harmonies which happens to blend the song together beautifully especially with the lyrics that are being sung. The chorus features some incredibly poignant lyrics which I can't help but find mind blowing with the honesty, and the amount of realness within them. I'm speechless. I adore the message within the song so much that it made me cry the more, I heard it! Lisa and Alex harmonies are everything thanks to the meaning of the song. The second verse continues Nia

This Friday (10th July) will see British singer-songwriting Duo, Emma & Jolie release their debut single, I Don't Need A Man. You can read my interview with Emma and Jolie here . Photo Credit: Jodie Morris I Don't Need A Man  has a guitar instrumental to start which gives us listeners a proper country feel for the song which I instantly loved. The first verse sees Jolie start their debut single off wonderfully with her soft, and sweet vocal range which soon as Emma on the vocals as the verse is spilt into two with lyrics that a lot of us girls/ ladies will be able to relate with. I am loving the amount of female empowerment in this song! The chorus is the first time in which us listener get to hear Emma & Jolie with their beautiful harmonies which are just mind blowing. The lyrics are so catchy, and fun which is just great as this will resonate with a lot of people. I Don't Need A Man is one hell of a sassy song, which these two young ladies have done fant

Photo Credit: Jodie Morris I Don’t Need A Man is the culmination of a journey that began about five years ago when the duo met at music college. Since then, the duo have continued to write together, before officially coming together as Emma & Jolie last year. Emma & Jolie quickly earned the attention of Triple Fret Entertainment, who signed the duo to a management deal based on the strength of their original material and their stunning harmonies. For Emma & Jolie, it has always been country music having grown up on Dolly Parton and the Dixie Chicks, but their sound was fully cemented by their first trip to Nashville last year, when they wrote with the likes of Sammy Arriaga, Lena Ston

SINGLE REVIEW - JESS THRISTAN - THE ONE THING

Today (Friday 3rd July) will see Yorkshire based singer-songwriter, Jess Thristan release her brand new single, The One Thing. The One Thing starts with a piano instrumental which compliments Jess' softer vocal incredibly throughout the song. The first verse sees Jess' softer emotional vocal range demonstrated within the very first line I was blown away by the gorgeous vocal. This verse is one of pure magic that people need to hear as it takes you on this wonderful journey. The lyrics are emotional, and I think this is why I love everything about this song so much. The chorus of The One Thing features some incredibly heartfelt lyrics that I couldn't help but be blown away by! Jess' vocal tone is everything in this part of the song as it just blends everything together stunningly. The lyrics are also ones that many people will be able to relate too, at least I caught myself at times relating to these gorgeous lyrics. I adore the journey in which the lyrics happen

SINGLE REVIEW - KAYLEE BELL - HOME

Image
Tomorrow (Friday 3rd July) will see New Zealand born singer-songwriter,  Kaylee Bell  release her brand new single, Home. With the video being up on YouTube, I decided to review Home. Photo taken by me at C2C 2019 Home starts with an electric guitar instrumental which opens the song up beautifully with it's drum instrumental supporting. The first verse sees Kaylee's fun, and softer vocal being demonstrated with it's quirky and upbeat lyrics that you can definitely hear Kaylee has written from the heart. I love how Kaylee has stayed true to herself with her songwriting, and vocals on her brand new single. The chorus features some lyrics which are ones of written from the heart, and one that Kaylee has written based on experience with the emotion being used being wonderful. I love the fun element within this song, and it's something that is so empowering that I can't wait to have blaring out on a road trip (whenever we are allowed them). The second verse

EP REVIEW - ERIC PASLAY - HEARTBEAT HIGHER

This Friday (3rd July) will see US singer-songwriter, Eric Paslay release his brand new EP, Heartbeat Higher. Eric co-wrote 3 of the songs featured on the EP minus I Took A Pill In Ibiza which is Mike Posner. Heartbeat Higher feat Sarah Buxton starts with an guitar instrumental which I have to admit sat the song up wonderfully. The first verse sees Eric's crisp vocals being demonstrated which happens to allow the lyrics to shine through right through which I loved so much about this verse. The lyrics are so catchy. The moment Sarah Buxton came in ahead of the chorus was mind blowing, and their vocal blend so well together. The chorus features some wonderful lyrics which are just perfect, and with Sarah's vocals added to the song it was amazing! The second verse of Heartbeat Higher sees Eric continue with lead vocals however, Sarah was seen to be singing a few lines giving the song a little more energy, which I happened to adore a lot! The final verse which is nearer the cho
