SINGLE REVIEW - KELSEY LAMB - TALK TO ME

Today (Friday 27th March) will see US singer-songwriter, Kelsey Lamb release her brand new single, Talk To Me. Talk To Me starts with a slow piano instrumental with a few drum beats which gives the listeners a real feel for the track which lays ahead. The first verse has Kelsey demonstrating her softer and meaningful vocals which I have to admit had me hooked right from the start for the song. The lyrics are shown from a perspective that I didn't expect to be hearing but ones that brilliantly shows who Kelsey is as an artist and stands her out from the crowd with her songs. The chorus features some rather catchy and extremely honest lyrics throughout that I caught myself getting really emotional over as I was able to partly relate to them. The lyrics are ones that listeners can hear that Kelsey has gone through and isn't afraid to write about to help many others, showing them that they are not alone! The second verse continues Talk To Me incredibly beautifully with a

SINGLE REVIEW - LAINEY WILSON - WWDD

Today (Friday 27th March) will see US singer-songwriter,  Lainey Wilson release her latest single, WWDD. WWDD is a tribute to the legend that is Dolly Parton. WWDD starts with a quirky electric guitar instrumental which I absolutely adore ahead of drums coming in. The first verse features Lainey's rockier vocals whilst getting the message across about a certain Country Music Queen that is Dolly Parton. The lyrics are so catchy and honest that I caught myself singing along. There is something about Lainey's vocals in this part of the song that makes me smile so much. The chorus sees Lainey's fun and softer vocal range shine whilst singing about what would Dolly do? in such a beautiful way that a lot of country music lovers will relate too as most people are Dolly Parton fans. Lainey isn't afraid to say what she thinks making me realise even more what an incredible singer/ songwriter, Lainey is. Ahead of the second verse there was a wonderful instrumental that wa

ALBUM REVIEW - LAURA OAKES - HOW BIG IS YOUR WORLD

This Friday (27th March) will see Liverpool born, singer-songwriter, Laura Oakes release her brand new EP, How Big is Your World. How Big is Your World features 5 tracks. Welcome To The Family starts with a funky and upbeat guitar instrumental which sets the song up perfectly. The first verse of Welcome To The Family shows off Laura's amazing crisp vocal sound which I absoultely love and with parts of the lyrics being ones a lot of people will be able to relate too.  The song-writing from Laura is just wonderful, having been given it's moment to shine. The chorus is my favourite part of the song and the most catchiest making me want to get up and dance - this is something about Laura's song-writing that I love the most if I am honest! I remember hearing this song live back in May and the audience being so in love with the song and captivated by the whole message in the song, I can't help but feel that emotion once again. The second verse of Welcome To The Family

ALBUM REVIEW - KELSEA BALLERINI - KELSEA

Yesterday (Friday 20th March) saw US singer-songwriter,  Kelsea Ballerini release her third album which is self-titled, Kelsea. Kelsea is made up 13 songs. Kelsea is the perfect balance of Country and Pop Music whilst also being a journey of self-discovery and confidence to which I am grateful for. Overshare starts with a proper party kind of vibe followed by a guitar and drum instrumental. The first verse is one of pure fun and honesty from Kelsea with her songwriting been able to standout. The honesty from the lyrics are ones that a lot of people will be able to relate to at the moment. The chorus has the most relatable lyrics that resonate will me because I am definitely someone who overshares and over cares about a lot of people in this world but I get nothing back from them. I caught myself trying to sing along with. The chorus is my favourite part of Overshare, if I am honest! The second verse continues with the vibe of the song fantastically in the way and the story wit

DEBUT SINGLE REVIEW - EMILY DANIELS - BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO

This Friday (20th March) will see US based singer-songwriter,  Emily Daniels release her debut single, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do. Breaking Up Is Hard To Do starts with Emily's rather fun upbeat lyrics showing off the catchiness of the song. Breaking Up Is Hard To Do has a guitar instrumental which is one thing I love about this song instantly. The first verse features some rather catchy and honest lyrics which give you a real feel for who Emily is as an artist which I have to admit I am loving a lot. Emily's softer vocals is something that I love as it allows the songwriting to come through. Also, the fact that Emily is showing what an amazing singer/ songwriter she is, I am even more excited about this song that I ever thought I would be! The chorus is catchy and made me want to sing along despite having never heard it but the funkiness of the instrumental and Emily's softer vocals, I just felt that I needed too. The lyrics are one of experience and the fact that E

DEBUT SINGLE REVIEW - CHARLOTTE YOUNG - WHIPLASH

This Friday (20th March) will see UK based singer-songwriter from Birmingham, Charlotte Young release her debut single, Whiplash . Talking of the single, Charlotte said: 'I can not wait for people to hear this debut as I feel it shows something a little different, I really want people to connect and relate to the song and find comfort in it or just jam out!' Whiplash starts with a guitar instrumental which gives you a wonderful feel for the way that the song is going to go and within the first line, I loved the tone of the song. The first verse allows Charlotte to show everyone her amazing soft vocal that allows the songwriting to come through. The message within Whiplash is one that I didn't expect by one that I loved hearing. There is something so magical about Charlotte's vocal range throughout the whole song especially the first verse into it's chorus. The chorus allows Charlotte's soulful vocal range to shine through with the catchiness of the

ALBUM REVIEW - THE SHIRES - GOOD YEARS

Yesterday (Friday 13th March) saw British country duo, The Shires made up of singer-songwriters, Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes release their brand new album, Good Years. Good Years is made up of 12 songs. The Shires were formed in 2013. Lightning Strikes starts instantly with the first verse taking you straight into the song which I loved. The first verse showcased Crissie and Ben's fabulous vocal ranges which Crissie sings wonderfully and opens the song in The Shires style, I know and love. The lyrics are ones that are so captivating and allow you to create your own image for the lyrics being sung. The chorus features some catchy and fun lyrics about love that only The Shires do extremely well. Lightning Strikes will be perfect for a Nashville Nights kind of night which gave me goosebumps. The second verse continues the storytelling of Lightning Strikes about that time where you wish you could go back in time whilst also realising that maybe the past should stay in the past -

EP REVIEW - LAUREN ALAINA - GETTING GOOD

Today (Friday 6th March) will see US singer-songwriter, Lauren Alaina release her latest EP, Getting Good. Getting Good features 6 songs. In My Veins starts with a proper country instrumental which I have to admit was wonderful to hear. The first verse showcases Lauren's softer vocals allowing Lauren's wonderfully songwriting to shine through. The journey Lauren is singing about is something that caught me listening about life and how somethings are also in us. The chorus features some incredibly heartfelt fun lyrics that I have to admit had me singing along despite not knowing the words. This song is my jam and sums me up a lot, I can't lie! The second verse continues the song wonderfully and the more I hear Lauren's vocals the more, I adore the song. There is something so wonderful and honest about Lauren in this song that I have missed. The final verse is one that brings the song together beautifully and with the song ending on the chorus I was very happy givin

DEBUT ALBUM REVIEW - KING CALAWAY - RIVERS

This Friday (6th March) will see US based country-pop six-piece band, King Calaway release their debut album, Rivers. Rivers is made up of 13 songs. King Calaway is made up of Caleb Miller, Chris Deaton, Simon Dumas, Jordan Harvey, Chad Michael Jervis, and Austin Luther. No Matter What starts with a guitar instrumental which instantly gave me a real feel for this album. The first verse features some wonderfully honest lyrics and the songwriting is so raw. The harmonies and the moment all the lads join in on the chorus, I was amazed by how incredible it sounded. The chorus features some the most beautiful lyrics and I caught myself singing along despite not knowing the lyrics. The second verse continues the story within the lyrics wonderfully and the boys harmonies are just insane. I can't wait to hear this song live at C2C. The lyrics within the bridge are the most catchiest and the instrumental near the end of the song is just the perfect break down. King Calaway, No Matter
