NEXT WEEK ON CORONATION STREET: RYAN STEPS UP TO SUPPORT BETHANY AFTER PREGNANCY SHOCK

During last Tuesday's (13th October) Coronation Street episode, it was revealed to viewers that Bethany Platt was pregnant. Next week's episode episodes will see Ryan Connor become supportive to Bethany.

The week begins with Ryan Connor calling at the flat to find Bethany Platt looking tired and pale. Bethany is quick to make out she's hungover and rushes to the bathroom to be sick.

However, with Ryan having spotted the folic acid pills in Bethany's bag, he asks her if she's pregnant. Bethany tells Ryan that her pregnancy is the result of a one night stand. Ryan is supportive and assures her she'll be a great Mum.

The following day, when Bethany admits she's feeling nauseous, Ryan steers her home and makes her something to eat.  Bethany's touched but Ryan assures her he's glad to help in time I really hope Bethany confides in Ryan.

During a recent interview with Lucy Fallon, she was asked about Bethany blossoming relationship with Ryan Connor and the pregnancy complicating things, Lucy commented “Yes, her and Ryan are going quite well.
I think she genuinely really likes him and he genuinely really likes her too. They've got a bit of shared history as well from when they were together before but obviously this is going to throw a massive spanner in the works.” Adding “If she chooses to go through with the termination that will make things easier for their relationship. But if she chooses to keep the baby, that's going to complicate the whole situation because is Ryan going to want to be with her if she's going to be having someone else's baby when they're so early on in their relationship.”

Coronation Street airs Monday - Friday at 8.30pm on ITV1, and YouTube, and ITVX from 7am.
