*OPINION* WHY THEA AND KIM'S REVEAL COULD BE A TURNING POINT

Last Thursday's episode (29th October) saw the truth revealed about Kim Tate being DS Anthea Ramsden known to viewers as DS Thea Ramsden mother.

From the very moment Chelsea Edge arrived on screen as Thea Ramsden - there has been something that intrigued me and the characters reveal was so different.

The guilt that viewers saw Kim Tate feel once she learnt that Thea Ramsden was her biological daughter "Anthea" during last Thursday's episode (29th October), the pure shock on Kim's face was interesting, and the conversation that followed between the characters was an open and honest one especially that followed from Thea regarding her childhood. However, it was the honesty from Kim that made me think that the character actually wanted a relationship with Thea, could this be a turning point for Kim paving a new side to the character? 

The following episode on Friday 30th October, viewers saw Kim tell Graham Foster about her being DS Ramsden's mother, whilst Serena Sugden continued to protect Thea who admitted she felt like things have changed. However for me there was something about Thea wanting to protect Kim that saw her relieved - could this be a new leave for Kim? The final scene saw Kim reveal to the nurse when asking about Thea “I'm her mother”.

Monday's episode (2nd November), Kim openly told Joe Tate about Thea and during their conversation Thea walked in wanting a chat with Kim with her hurt continuing to be apparent, whilst wanting answers about her father who Kim revealed to be Steve Merchant, who agreed to help her to find him as she asked about wanting time for them to get to know each other first. Since the news of Paul Opacic's return, I am really excited to see what's to come for the newly found mother and daughter.

Tuesday's episode (3rd November) saw Gabby Thomas appear happy for Kim and Thea, whilst in the cafe, Joe Tate spoke about the meaning of being a 'Tate' leaving Joe jealous as they both play each other at their own game. Is anyone else excited over the possibly of Joe and Thea clashing even more than what's already obvious.

For me personally, there is something super interesting about Thea being Kim Tate's daughter, that has me excited to see what's to come over the next few months and honestly I am looking forward too as an Emmerdale viewer. Still interested to see more of Thea and Serena Sugden's friendship despite having many questions, still left unanswered.

*OPINION* WHY ROBERT AND AARON'S PROPOSAL ON CORRIEDALE WAS BRILLIANTLY TIMED

During Monday's (5th January) special crossover episode of Corriedale, viewers saw Emmerdale fan-favourite couple, Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden known as Robron to their dedicated fanbase become engaged for the third time! Robron fans have been through many emotions since Ryan Hawley finally decided to come back after 6 years away from the Yorkshire Dales based soap with his first scene airing on Wednesday 28th May, 2025 to stop Aaron Dingle and John Sugden's wedding with the Robron scenes becoming better and better from August 2025.
