SINGLE REVIEW - POPPY FARDELL - DRIVE

Tomorrow (Friday 4th December) will see British singer-songwriter, Poppy Fardell release her brand new single, Drive.
Drive features Tim Prottey-Jones.

Drive starts with a guitar and piano instrumental which has this wonderful sound to begin the song.
The first verse sees Poppy's soft and slow vocals start the song fantastically which sees this special magical vocal delivery from Poppy that I adore with lyrics that are very heartfelt. Drive is one stunning song with the most perfect opening verse.
The chorus within Drive features many fantastical heartfelt lyrics that took me off into my own world whilst also finding myself able to relate to many of the lyrics which pulled on my heart strings at times. The chorus connects every single verse perfectly blending the song together in the most gorgeous way.
The second verse continues Drive beautifully with Tim's vocal at the forefront which allows a different perspective on the song which makes for wonderful listening. I love how Poppy's vocal was also featured on this verse alongside Tim's adding so much more that I wasn't expecting making me very emotional as I listening closely to every single word being sung. The final verse of Drive sees Tim and Poppy on this part of the song together allowing their wonderful harmonies to shine through. The fact that Drive ends with a softer vocal at times from both Tim and Poppy before the chorus sees their natural vocal tones end the song.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. The chorus features many catchy upbeat lyrics that I could myself singing along with despite not knowing the lyrics 100% typical Kellie. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
