EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown.

It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters.

It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.

There was many times during this week that I felt for Amelia as much as she knows she has done wrong she is still vulnerable like we all are on social media especially during Wednesday's episode as Amelia was left broken by Dan giving us an emotional moment as her relationship with him is an extremely close one - you can see how much that support one another. Loved how Noah supported Amelia when she needed it most, their heart-to-heart was a very much needed moment.

However, it was Dan and Cain Dingle's friendship have grown over the past few weeks and it's been one friendship I am here for as they are a great support to one another being completely different characters with Dan being naive. Cain supporting Amelia has been good to see reminded me a little for his relationship with his own daughter, Debbie.

It was the return of All Man's Club in Thursday's episode (13th July) that was wonderful to see as you could see how much Dan needed a distraction with everyone there supporting Dan and being on his side as they all worked together to find Clemmie. However, it was outside The Woolpack that saw Amelia really say what she was thinking, she is a character who is getting stronger something I am enjoying seeing.

It was in last night's episode (14th July) that saw the family dynamic between Amelia, Esther, Dan and Noah, it was beautiful to see the way that Amelia just listened to her father whilst supporting him as he opened up about how he feels following a moment of realisation. It's been wonderful to see the character development of Noah too, and it shared in last night's episode.

Liam Fox has been brilliant and it's been nice to see him centre stage in a storyline like this as his character is one you wouldn't expect it from.
Daisy Campbell you are brilliant as always and there is something so wonderful about how your character is developing through every episode.

These episodes of Emmerdale aired between Monday 10th - Friday 14th July at 7.30pm with an hour long on Thursday 13th July on ITV1.
