WHY AMY WALSH RETURNING TO EMMERDALE WAS BRILLIANT TIMING

This week's episodes have seen Amy Walsh return to the role as Tracy Metcalfe following the actress' maternity leave.

At the start of the week, viewers saw Tracy Metcalfe return to the Emmerdale Village, but in typical soap style it wasn't straight forward as she was spotted at the registry office unaware to Cain and Moira Dingle that Tracy was actually there for her own wedding to Cain's son, Nate Robinson. If anyone knows me you will know how much I have wanted these two characters back together, and said how much I'd love Tracy's return to feature her wedding to Nate. Tracy's wedding dress was beautiful and it is fantastic to see Amy Walsh back where she belongs!

In obvious soap style it doesn't go to plan as back in the village, Tracy and Nate were back in the playground speaking with Cain and Moira when Cain got an idea of how to make it up to them for ruining their plans with Charles Anderson agreeing to bless their marriage. It's nice to see the caring side of Cain which is also seen throughout the week with his friendship with Dan Spencer.

As the week continued, viewers saw many villagers congratulate the newlyweds as the Dingles in true 'Dingle Style' threw a party in The Woolpack in the only way they know how - something that I really enjoyed seeing as Tracy was officially welcomed into the family. However when Tracy stood up for herself in front of everyone is the Tracy I love to see.

It has been fantastic to see how Tracy has returned and developed over the time off-screen, but her friendship with Leyla Cavanagh was definitely tested this week allowing for Amy Walsh and Roxy Shahidi to share some brilliant moments together. Finally, it was wonderful to see Tracy determined to make a better future for her and her family when it come to creating an opportunity to work for herself.

These episodes of Emmerdale aired between Monday 3rd - Friday 7th July at 7.30pm with hour long on Thursday 6th July on ITV1.

The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. The chorus features many catchy upbeat lyrics that I could myself singing along with despite not knowing the lyrics 100% typical Kellie. COMING UP ON EMMERDALE: AMELIA CHRISTENS ESTHER AS CHARITY AND AMY BRING THE DRAMA

With Amelia Spencer about to christen her daughter, Esther it wouldn't be a soap without drama during the ceremony would it? EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
