2020 C2C ARTIST INTERVIEW WITH HALEY AND MICHAELS

Welcome to this week's C2C interview which is from US Duo singer-songwriters, Haley and Michaels made up of husband and wife Shannon Haley and Ryan Michaels who I am extremely thrilled about having been confirmed for C2C next month. I was very lucky a few days ago to have catch up with them to talk with them about what we can expect from them during their C2C set and I really hope you enjoy this interview.

Good Evening, Ryan and Shannon aka Haley and Michaels, I have to start with interview by saying thank you very much for allowing me to interview you.
We really appreciate you taking the time to interview us!

 I have to say the biggest of congratulations to you on being selected for C2C London 2020!
Thank you!!!

Are you happy about you being announced for C2C next month, it's been a long time coming for you both to be coming to the UK. How excited are you about it?
We are absolutely thrilled to be performing at C2C this year. We have been dreaming of releasing our music in the UK for years, and we are so excited that our first trip over will be to perform at such an incredible festival. We’ve heard so many wonderful things about it and we can’t wait to experience it ourselves!

I have to ask you about your set for the festival, what people can we expect from your set? All originals or will there be some covers?

We are going to be performing songs from our new album “Hail Mary”. We will also be playing a couple of cover songs, but it will be mostly our original material from the album.

2019 was a busy year for you with writing and recording, can us fans expect some new material within your set?
Yes, 2019 was a whirlwind and such an exciting year for us. We traveled to over 130 cities, we did our first stadium performances ever and got to go back on the Today Show to release our debut album. We will be performing songs from our album, and for some of those songs, it will be the very first time we’ve ever performed them live so we’re super excited!

And how amazing is it that C2C, London can bring so many country music fans all under one roof?
It’s absolutely incredible. We’ve heard that country music has really caught on in London and the fact that there is such a great opportunity for all country music fans to come together and get a real experience of all different types of country artists all in one weekend is so wonderful!

Are you excited about performing for a load of us UK Country Music fans at one of London's biggest venues, The O2 over the weekend?
We are over the moon excited! It is truly a dream come true for us. We plan to have this be the first of many performances and trips that we make to London!

Do you enjoy getting the chance to meet so many of us fans and talking with us Country Music fans, face to face?
Meeting and connecting with fans is our favorite part of what we do and it’s what drives us to keep going. Connecting with others through music is at the heart of what we do. We have absolutely loved getting the chance to meet and spend time with country music fans and can’t wait to do more of that at C2C!

But most importantly are you ready to have one of the best weekends of your life in the UK?
ABSOLUTELY! We are counting down the days!

Are there any artists you are hoping to catch over your time at C2C?
We are fans of all of the artists performing. When we aren’t on stage we’ll likely be taking in the music as fans.

I have to admit, I am super excited about hearing you live once again.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. The chorus features many catchy upbeat lyrics that I could myself singing along with despite not knowing the lyrics 100% typical Kellie. COMING UP ON EMMERDALE: AMELIA CHRISTENS ESTHER AS CHARITY AND AMY BRING THE DRAMA

With Amelia Spencer about to christen her daughter, Esther it wouldn't be a soap without drama during the ceremony would it? EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
