SINGLE REVIEW - MACKENZIE PORTER - SEEING OTHER PEOPLE

Today (Friday 7th February) will see Canadian singer-songwriter, MacKenzie Porter releasing her latest single, Seeing Other People.

Seeing Other People starts with a slower instrumental piano and drum which for me brings a lot of emotion before MacKenzie has even started singing.
The first verse is from that moment where she's seen her ex with his new girl and she's questioning everything about what his doing in his new relationship and whether their relationship was based on a lie for the whole time. I am so glad MacKenzie has released this song as one of her singles because it is stunning and the emotions are spot on.
The chorus features some wonderfully emotional lyrics allowing MacKenzie to show off her emotive vocal range and the lyrics are so moving and raw, which at times I have to admit brings me to tears. MacKenzie's songwriting is something that is so rare that I am honestly so grateful for her choosing to release Seeing Other People as a single for the world to hear.
The second verse continues Seeing Other People as its from the angle of where the future may take them and that moment of them planning their future together and especially if they were to get married - and the anger you are feeling is something many songwriters are afraid to write about so I have so much praise for MacKenzie writing a song from that angle.
The bridge ahead of the final chorus is something that features MacKenzie's softer vocals and the raw emotion she was feeling at the time of writing this song.

HOLLYOAKS REVIEW - FRANKIE OPENED UP AS ISABELLE SMITH DELIVERS SOME EMOTIONAL SCENES

Since Isabelle Smith  arrived on our screens back in January, Hollyoaks viewers have seen a hard-hitting storyline for her character, Frankie Osborne who since  February has had tough relationships with Osborne family especially Nancy and Jack, and looking back now you can see the cries for help with her moods, attitude, and vulnerability that have changed across the past 6 months. Frankie's used dance as her escape seeing her audition for dance school. With Darren having been the one wanting to protect Frankie with everything that has arose. One of my favourite moments was Frankie learning sign language so she could communicate with Oscar allowing people to see the caring side to the character. The first appearance of Frankie Osborne came in Wednesday's episode (4th September) where her dance place got deferred leaving her devastated as Darren continued to support Frankie seeing her become emotional about her return to school it was clear how much Darren has Frankie's best

NEXT WEEK ON HOLLYOAKS: FRANKIE CONFRONTS SUZANNE AS A STUNT ROCKS THE VILLAGE

With Hollyoaks entering the first week of their brand-new 3 episodes a week next week in typical Hollyoaks style a stunt is involved. Who doesn't love a Hollyoaks stunt? Next week will see Grandfather and Granddaughter, Jack and Frankie Osborne run into Suzanne Ashworth and JJ Osborne outside The Dog patio. With the support of Sally St Claire and Jack, Frankie confront Suzanne about her not believing her as she goes into detail about what she experienced.  This can't be an easy conversation to have, but thankful she has people she trusts around her.  Jack later adds the pressure and challenges Suzanne about what she knew.  I have a feeling that these scenes could lead to some emotional moments.
