INTERVIEW WITH CALLIE TWISSELMAN AS WE TALK ABOUT C2C AND 2025 PLANS

This week's interview is with singer-songwriter, Callie Twisselman who recently performed at C2C London, and before the festival I caught up with Callie to discuss the festival and her 2025 plans.

Hey Callie, Congratulations on being selected to play at C2C London, can you tell us where you were when you heard the news?
I was so excited to hear I'd be playing C2C for the second time. My manager Danny Nozell shared the news over the phone as I was on my family's cattle ranch in California. Was ecstatic getting to share the moment with them.

You played the festival a few years again, how does it feel to be back?
I loved playing C2C in 2022. The fans are just amazing and I've kept in contact with a few of them since then, so very excited to be back and see some familiar faces this time around.

Before, I go any further can I please ask you to introduce yourself to our readers? As to many you will be a new artist.
I am a country music artist from Nashville, Tn. I grew up on a grain and cattle ranch in central California where my love of music began. My mother was a local country singer in a band. I always loved watching her play and decided I'd like to try my hand at it myself. I toured California for a few years but decided it was time to make the move to Nashville when I met my now manager, Danny Nozell. We've released some great music, went on the road and opened for amazing artists, and just this past year I got to collaborate on a song with Dolly Parton! Cant wait to see what's next.

How are you feeling about performing in London?
I'm so excited to be performing in London again! I had such a great time before, so I'm very much looking forward to it.

Is there anything you can tease about your C2C set?
I can share that I'll be performing my new single “King & Queen of recklessness! Excited to see how the fans take to the new song.

Please tell me you'll be performing In My World, it's one of my favourite songs from you lyrical as it allows us to see what a brilliant artist you are with the heartfelt songwriting whilst taking us on a journey.
And of course I'll be performing “In my world”. Such a fun song to play live *smiles*.

Please tell us there will be opportunities to meet you throughout the weekend? Are you excited to meet us UK fans?
I will be around the festival after my sets, and would love to meet the fans who make it all possible! So please do come say hi if you see me! Always love meeting the fans, it's one of my favourite parts of the live shows.

Are there any artists you are hoping to catch at the festival?
I would love to see Tucker Wetmore and Chayce Beckham, I love their music!

How would you sum up your musical style in 3 words?
My musical style I'd say is classy, sassy country music!

Do you have any other plans for whilst you are in the UK?
My parents will be with me so I plan to do some fun touristy things while there and show them around some of London.

Before, I let you go can I please ask about your plans for this year?
My plans for this year are to release a bunch of new music and be on the road touring. You can keep up to date on all of that by going on my website.
Thank you very much for your time today, and I wish you a wonderful C2C.

You can catch Callie at C2C London on The Wayside on Saturday 15th (2.40pm - 3.10pm), Countryline Stage (12.30pm - 1pm) and Jack Daniel's Big Entrance (2.20pm - 2.50pm) on Sunday 16th March.
