C2C 2025 HIGHLIGHTS

From the very moment, I arrived on the Friday (14th March) I was ready to party as the country vibes were already there, and I forgetting how welcoming the British country music fans are.

I started my festival off with Alyssa Bonagura who I only came across a few years ago following seeing her Tenille Arts and Caylee Hammack, but the 30 minute set just wasn't long enough for her especially as she had the audience so engaged. New Wings and Other Side of the World were highlights for me.

I managed to catch Gina Larner on The Big Entrance stage with her all female band and this performer definitely has a bright future ahead of her. Gina's stage presence was fabulous to witness and the way she had the audience engaged was great. Excited to see where 2025 takes Gina Larner.

Max McNown was another brilliant artist, I was so glad I managed to see as his stage presence was fantastic and he really knew how to give the audience a performance. Max's performance of A Lot More Free was stunning.

Maggie Antone was one the biggest surprises of the festival for me as I have only discovered her back in January thanks to a YouTube playlist. Maggie's vocal tone is angelic and there was something about her stage presence that was beautiful to witness.

Saturday (15th March) of course started with Jess and The Bandits who were fantastic and honestly, I knew I was going to enjoy however, not as much as I did and this lady sure knows how to kick start a country music festival stage on a Saturday morning.

Alli Walker was up next for me as she was fantastic and I have a whole review coming up on her Countryline Stage performance separately.

Mackenzie Carpenter was another artist I definitely wanted to see and this talented singer-songwriter didn't disappoint if anything she amazed me more especially with hearing I Wish, I Wish, I Wish You Would live and her stand alone version was incredible if anything it was wonderful to hear her take solo on the song.

Abby Anderson is an artist, I first featured on this page back in 2019 and I have been a fan of her music for so long, however, it was during Covid that my love for Abby's music grew and witnessing her talent this weekend was fantastic and well worth the wait. The way that audience just listened and got in all of her songs was magical. Where Did All The Cowboys Go? is one stunning song and written in the most beautiful way that made me a little emotional.

Sunday started with Chanel Yates who was me was an artist, I needed to see last weekend and I am really pleased I did especially as she was one of the artists with a clash. But hearing Studio Apartment live was fantastic and Chanel's vocal tones are beautiful, but the song that really had someone in the audience up was House Party which is a song I loved so thank you for sharing with her. Thank you for ending your set with Big Girl Boots as that was definitely the best song to end with.
Callie Twisselman followed on Sunday - Callie is so talented and one artist I am pleased to have managed to squeeze in thinking that 2025 could be Callie's year.

Followed by spending Sunday afternoon in the Indigo for two of my favourite artists in Kassi Ashton and Drew Baldridge who were both incredible and ten times better than I ever imagined. Hearing Crazy by Kassi was fantastic as you could hear many wonderful vocal tones, one song I had hoped to hear live, however, I am pleased I did. But Drew singing Tough People, and She's Somebody's Daughter was perfect and everything I needed to hear, but also getting the opportunity to witness Drew sing Can She Have This Dance? was an emotional song that I caught myself getting relating too.

Meghan Patrick smashed her BBC Radio 2 set especially as she was a last minute addition to the line up for the venue as I managed to watch a couple of her songs before catching her again on the Saturday (15th March) for her whole set on the Big Entrance was incredible and the two songs that stood out to me were Stoned Alone which features Caitlyn Smith on the recorded version along with What Shoulder's My Angel On? which had an amazing back story and I really appreciated Meghan letting us in., and honestly she is so talented who I think will have a very bright future ahead of her. The UK Country Music fans absolutely loved her. Before, catching her for a third time on the Sunday.

What were your C2C highlights?

Also, don't forget that C2C 2026 tickets go on sale this Friday (21st March) on AXS, Gigs and Tours and the O2 website.
