C2C SET REVIEW - ALLI WALKER - COUNTRYLINE STAGE
During C2C, I had the incredible opportunity to catch Canadian singer-songwriter, Alli Walker who I recently interviewed at all 3 of her performance during C2C weekend, however here is my review of her Country Line Stage performance on Saturday 15th March.
Alli opened her set with Red Wine or Whiskey saw the audience really engaged right from the start as you could see how much the audience wanted to see this talented artist's set.
I Like Big Trucks is a brilliantly fun song and one that many people in the crowd were singing along to. I Like Big Tucks is one of my favourite songs of Alli's that was wonderful to hear live.
Country Music is brilliant with the songwriting really shining through as well as knowing how to give the audience a show.
Hung Up (I think that is what the song is called) saw the audience listening closely to every single word that Alli was singing which for me was brilliant to see as Alli has been an artist I have been loving over the past few months.
Having recently had the opportunity to interview Alli about First Time Living (her duet with Gretchen Wilson) was gorgeous to witness and a standout moment of her set over the weekend of which I managed to catch all 3 of, as you could see how much the lyrics mean to her.
Following it's release on Friday 14th March, and Alli performing it on the 15th, Ride It Out was definitely a fan favourite especially as she bought her electric bagpipe out making Alli a standout artist, as this really does make her one of a kind in a great way.
When All The Whiskey's Gone saw Alli's bring out her electric bagpipe once again especially as this was a drinking song and at the time Alli performed many people had a drink it was wonderful to witness such a wonderful vibe and people singing along.
The way that Alli chose to end her set with Creek was a brilliant choice as it showed what a brilliant artist Alli is and that she really can sing any style of song.
