INTERVIEW WITH CHANNIQUE STERLING-BROWN ABOUT WHAT'S NEXT FOR DEE-DEE

With Dee-Dee Bailey recently seeing her fiancé, Joel Deering find Lauren Bolton, actress Channique Sterling-Brown talks about what's to come for her character, and how she reacts to the news during a press event last month.

During last Wednesday's episode (17th July) viewers saw Dee-Dee see Joel finding Lauren, when Channique was asked about can viewers expect a lot of drama, she commented:  "I mean... I think, you know, there's going to be a whole chapter where Joel is running around trying to keep all his secrets in check, and I think that'll be very interesting."

Prior to the episode airing the interview with Channique happened, she was asked how she will react? "Oh, I think it will be, you know, it's a world-changing revelation, I think, when she finds out the truth about Joel. So we'll just have to see with that one for sure."

Thinking back did she ever suspect anything? "No, she genuinely doesn't, because there's nothing to suspect, is there? There's nothing to!"

Channique, you have been filming a lot with Callum Lill how has that been for you? "You know, Callum is a brilliant actor. We're good friends, which really helps. And, you know, from day one the character was always going to be this character, so his screen test was with myself, and it was a scene where we get to see, you know, he's nicey, nicey, lovey, lovey, and he snaps. So I've always known from day one what he's capable of, but it's brilliant to get to see it play out on screen."

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday's at 8pm on ITV and ITVX.

HOLLYOAKS REVIEW - ISABELLE SMITH CAPTURES THE EMOTIONAL AND VULNERABLE SIDE OF FRANKIE BRILLIANTLY

It's hard to believe that Isabelle Smith only arrived on our screens in the Chester based soap Hollyoaks in January 2024 which has seen her character, Frankie Osborne go through some tough times. Over the past few months in Hollyoaks, Frankie Osborne has had a tough time, but viewers have seen Grace Black support Frankie during Monday 22nd July's episode on E4 where Frankie opened up to her uncle, Freddie Roscoe who was in a coma at the time.  You could see a change in the character once this had happened as the vulnerability shines through in an emotional scene. HOLLYOAKS REVIEW - FRANKIE OPENED UP AS ISABELLE SMITH DELIVERS SOME EMOTIONAL SCENES

Since Isabelle Smith  arrived on our screens back in January, Hollyoaks viewers have seen a hard-hitting storyline for her character, Frankie Osborne who since  February has had tough relationships with Osborne family especially Nancy and Jack, and looking back now you can see the cries for help with her moods, attitude, and vulnerability that have changed across the past 6 months. Frankie's used dance as her escape seeing her audition for dance school. With Darren having been the one wanting to protect Frankie with everything that has arose. One of my favourite moments was Frankie learning sign language so she could communicate with Oscar allowing people to see the caring side to the character. The first appearance of Frankie Osborne came in Wednesday's episode (4th September) where her dance place got deferred leaving her devastated as Darren continued to support Frankie seeing her become emotional about her return to school it was clear how much Darren has Frankie's best
