HOLLYOAKS DILLION AND LUCAS' JOURNEY SO FAR

It's not been an easy ride for new couple, Lucas Hay and Dillion Ray since they started their relationship with them having gone through some tough times from Lucas' ordeal, coming out to his dad, Ste Hay admitting him being admitted to hospital in a heartfelt moment, beginning their relationship despite all the struggles, having to keep their relationship a secret, finally becoming boyfriends, Dillion possibly moving away, to them now finally having Misbah Malik's blessing which happened during last night's E4 episode (Thursday 4th July) which meant so much to the new couple. 

There is something so special about their journey which has seen many viewers fall in love with this fictional couple - their slow burning love story has been one that has been handled with such care and delivered at a pace that many viewers have really appreciated as it's different to your typical soap couple relationship.

When we think back to the past month when Lucas was struggling with his sexuality to now being open and honest with the character has seen so much growth making for some heartfelt viewing. When you think about how much young people are currently struggling with their sexuality it's storylines like this that make a huge difference.
You only have to look on social media to see their following and all the positives they are offering young people.

However, it has been nice to see that Hollyoaks are remembering all the little details recently with Lucas Hay and his ordeal with them not moving the storyline to fast which is something many soaps seem to forget.

A big thank you has to go the team of writers, directors and of courses, Nathaniel Dass and Oscar Curtis.

HOLLYOAKS REVIEW - ISABELLE SMITH CAPTURES THE EMOTIONAL AND VULNERABLE SIDE OF FRANKIE BRILLIANTLY

It's hard to believe that Isabelle Smith only arrived on our screens in the Chester based soap Hollyoaks in January 2024 which has seen her character, Frankie Osborne go through some tough times. Over the past few months in Hollyoaks, Frankie Osborne has had a tough time, but viewers have seen Grace Black support Frankie during Monday 22nd July's episode on E4 where Frankie opened up to her uncle, Freddie Roscoe who was in a coma at the time.  You could see a change in the character once this had happened as the vulnerability shines through in an emotional scene. HOLLYOAKS REVIEW - FRANKIE OPENED UP AS ISABELLE SMITH DELIVERS SOME EMOTIONAL SCENES

Since Isabelle Smith  arrived on our screens back in January, Hollyoaks viewers have seen a hard-hitting storyline for her character, Frankie Osborne who since  February has had tough relationships with Osborne family especially Nancy and Jack, and looking back now you can see the cries for help with her moods, attitude, and vulnerability that have changed across the past 6 months. Frankie's used dance as her escape seeing her audition for dance school. With Darren having been the one wanting to protect Frankie with everything that has arose. One of my favourite moments was Frankie learning sign language so she could communicate with Oscar allowing people to see the caring side to the character. The first appearance of Frankie Osborne came in Wednesday's episode (4th September) where her dance place got deferred leaving her devastated as Darren continued to support Frankie seeing her become emotional about her return to school it was clear how much Darren has Frankie's best
