EMMERDALE REVIEW AS DAISY CAMPBELL PROVES WHAT A SHINING STAR SHE IS!

During this week's episodes, Emmerdale viewers saw some really emotional scenes for Amelia Spencer upon the discovery of her pregnancy during a row with Noah and Samson Dingle in the village.

It was from Tuesday's episode that Amelia really started to struggle hiding her pregnancy secret, it was nice to see the teenage side of her coming through which was brilliantly showcased through various parts of the week. One thing, I really liked was how nervous Noah was about seeing Amelia as he helped her out with money for a prom dress as they admitted their feelings for one another. It was really nice to see the caring side of the character after his recent struggles.

It was mid week that Daisy Campbell tap into her characters sassy side as Harriet Finch and Dan questioned her, along with her maternal side as she headed to her baby scan with a supportive Noah by her side. It was nice to see the two characters being there for one another especially Noah when Amelia needed him when she was there for him through his prison ordeal. The moment they were shown the baby during the scan, the smile between them get wider. When they arrived back in the village, Amelia kissed Noah.

However, last night's (25th August) saw many emotional scenes for the young mum-to-be. With Amelia receiving her GCSE results, I really felt for her because after everything in a way her reaction was similar to mine. Later, Harriet told Dan about Amelia kissing Noah. easy to say Dan wasn't pleased.

At Wishing Well, Noah popped over for a drink with Samson Dingle to celebrate his results when they got chatting about Amelia, and wasn't long before Noah told Samson about her pregnancy after learning the truth. Oh, Noah what have you done.

Back in the village, Amelia caught a glimpse of herself in the car window gentle touching her bump, as she walked down the street. Viewers could see how sorry Noah was after he confessed that he told Samson as he started to quiz Amelia - the dialogue in this scene was super honest and one that were full of emotions. It's obvious how Noah respects Amelia and defend her over her decision. It was fantastic to see Amelia standing up for herself, and what she wants to do understand of being told what to do! One strong willed character.
However, it was during the argument the truth was revealed about Amelia's pregnancy and who the father is to a shocked Lydia and Sam Dingle as well as Dan. Lydia's harsh words were very much needed to Samson. It was fantastic to see Mackenzie being there for Noah after overhearing everything.

There was something beautiful and raw in the final scene between Amelia and Dan that saw Daisy work brilliantly with Liam Fox with Amelia opening up about what she has been through allowing for a lot of vulnerability to be shown emotionally. The dialogue was beautifully timed with such honesty.

In tonight's episode, it was fantastic to see Dan leaning on Kerry and Amy Wyatt for support as they've both been through what Amelia is being a great support for her. Amelia and Kerry's relationship is something so beautiful I hope they will show us a little more of. Like how quick Amelia was to bring up Noah and his supportive behaviour. I can see Noah supporting her until the very end, but you never know with Emmerdale do we! Part of me thinks it won't be happy for much longer as I don't know if Dan and Kerry will ever accept Noah.

Samson's attitude to the whole situation is awful - he needs to be respectful of Amelia's wishes. The "guess what, plans change" line got me as they were talking about their future plans, a baby doesn't have to stop that! The shouting in the street really frustrates me, showing how little he cares for Amelia and the stress, he is causing her. It's nice to see Amelia standing up for herself being an independent woman - these are the characters we enjoy in a soap!

There is something so beautiful about the way that Daisy Campbell and Jack Downham work together that was beautifully shown this week. Yet, Daisy for me this week was the biggest shining star. I've said it once and I'll say it again but this young actress has to win some awards!

These episodes of Emmerdale aired between Monday 22nd - Friday 26th August on ITV at 7.30pm with an hour episode on Thursday 25th August.
