C2C SET REVIEW - EMILY ANN ROBERTS - RADIO 2 STAGE

On Friday afternoon (13th March), I had the absolute privilege of catching Emily Ann Roberts set on Radio 2 Indigo Stage, and what a set it was!

Emily opened her set with Pretty in Pink which I have to say I was personally pleased about as this song has a rather special meaning to me, and one that the lyrics are beautifully written, and with Emily Ann's stunning vocals it was just a flawless opening for her Indigo set. Next was Jack and Jill Daniels being another beautifully written, and that I think will remain a favourite of many people for a long time after hearing it. Emily's vocal range was showcased fabulously throughout her set, but Easy Does It was just so special and the way she spoke about her husband was beautiful (sound perfect for one another!)
Emily's played a cover of Dolly Parton's Jolene having crowd participate for this track was perfectly timed as many of the audience were so excited to her on the spotlight that evening, you definitely had everyone excited Emily.
Home To Me is a song that saw a slow part to Emily Ann's set that was magical seeing many of the audience listening closely to the songs' lyrics, and allowing for the audience to feel the emotions.
Whipped was the second from last song that she sung allowing for the audience to sing along as many of the audience knew or at least they did near me. Emily Ann's vocal tone were stunning throughout.

EASTENDERS REVIEW: A ROLLERCOASTER OF A WEEK FOR LAUREN AND PETER AS BEX RETURNED

This week's episodes of EastEnders saw Peter Beale propose to his pregnant girlfriend, Lauren Branning who declined, however for me I personally think this is a great choice but the week continued to take the pair on an emotional rollercoaster. The fact that the week's episodes started with Peter Beale missing the baby scan, you could see Lauren Branning was in for an emotional week and honestly if any character needs support its Lauren! With Peter continuing to focus on his mum, Cindy Beale instead of Lauren really frustrated me. As much as I like Peter and Lauren as a couple in the show, I have to say Lauren choosing to turn down his proposal in Tuesday's episode (1st April) after everything that happened previously with Cindy Beale over Christmas with Lauren thinking that she was the one that injured her, and Peter doubting his girlfriend, where is the trust? The past few weeks have seen Emmerdale's beloved character Aaron Dingle go through a lot at the hands of John Sugden but there has been one character that has tried to save him and that is his ex-husband, Robert Sugden who let's be honest would do anything to save his true love.
