To Us It Did opens Mitchell's EP up with an upbeat instrumental which I have to say I wasn't expecting but one I happen to enjoy the more I hear it within the song. The first verse sees Mitchell's crisp vocal at the forefront allowing for the songs wonderful lyrics to shine through with many good time memories featured giving listeners this happy vibe. The chorus of To Us It Did features some wonderful thought about lyrics that make you wanna get up and dance thanks to the catchy upbeat lyrics. The second verse sees with another side of Mitchell's vocal tone giving listeners this real feel of a night out whether it's with friends or that festival kind of vibe. Lyrics are thought about allowing for many crisp moments. I adore how the bridge repeats the most beautiful lyrics ahead of the final verse sees many standout moments. To Us It Did ending with the chorus is something that brings the song full circle setting the EP up perfectly.
Good Thing starts with a beautifully timed guitar instrumental complimenting the song from start to finish in the most wonderful way. The first verse sees Mitchell's crisp vocal at the forefront allowing for listeners to get a real feel for his vocal range. The lyrics are super relatable that will get many people thinking. The chorus of Good Thing features many catchy lyrics that are also super heartfelt at times allowing for this perfect vibe. Good Thing has a proper love feel about it, and how it's a good thing that you trust each other whether you are together or apart. The second verse sees the songs journey continuing with a little more vulnerable making the song even more special. Mitchell's crispy vocals are everything. The final verse sees Mitchell's softer vocal at the forefront allowing for the lyrics to shine through as does the chorus to end the song.
I Can’t Love You Any More is a little more upbeat which is fantastically allowing for another side of who Mitchell is as an artist to come through. The first verse sees Mitchell's crisp vocal range at the forefront with lyrics that take you on a journey. There is something about the songwriting throughout I Can't Love You Any More that is so special, and unique. The chorus of I Can't Love You Any More has some heartfelt lyrics that paint this wonderful picture of finding that one person in your life that you can't imagine living without - so magically. The second verse continues with Mitchell's taking on another point of view for the single with thinking about everything that is so special about that person, and how much you love it. The chorus brings every single part of the song together perfectly in a way that makes for fantastic listening. The electric guitar instrumentals towards before the chorus is repeated for the final time bringing another fantastic side to the song. I love how the softer vocal from Mitchell returns in the final verse along with his crisp vocal at times.
Bucket List starts with a soft sounding guitar instrumental which I adore as it allows for a beautiful opening to the song. WOW, I am hit by emotions as the first verse starts thanks to Mitchell's heartfelt vocals that got me thinking right from the start. The authenticity within the lyrics and story telling is something, I wasn't expecting but something I loved hearing. You can hear how passionate Mitchell is about every single word he is singing especially within the chorus of Bucket List - the catchiness is perfect blend. The second verse continues Mitchell vocal become a little more high pitched but in a way that allow for the lyrics to continue shining through. Everything about the final part of Bucket List got me thinking, and excited. Thank you for writing such a beautiful song, Mitchell.
Truth About You starts with a slow and steady guitar instrumental which supports the song throughout wonderfully. The first verse sees Mitchell's soft vocal range allowing for some heartfelt moments that most of us will be able to relate with if we are being honest on a evening out even school memories. The chorus of Trust About You features some incredibly thought about lyrics that I have to admit got me a little emotional thinking about to those moments, and I wish we had met in the middle and talked our differences through instead of continues the whispers - you live and learn! The second verse continues with a little instrumental ahead of Mitchell's vocals coming back in with another take on the songs meaning which I have to admit had me seeing what a versatile singer-songwriter, Mitchell actually is. The more I hear the chorus the more perfect it sounds bringing the song together wonderfully. Mitchell's softer vocal is showcased in the bridge ahead of the final chorus which allows another set of emotions to come through within the story telling.
A Girl’s Love has a upbeat funky instrumental to start. The first verse sees Mitchell have some catchy lyrics right from the very start with lyrics that many girls will be able to relate too with that 'special' love story in mind. The chorus of A Girl's Love features some of the most beautiful lyrics allowing for this true girls style kind of love story that I caught myself listening to very carefully especially as the lyrics painted this special picture. The second verse continues with in the proper girls style true love story even more than I already thought was possible, however, the point of view that Mitchell's gives for the men is something that I really enjoyed hearing and I think many other people will too. A Girl's Love is definitely my firm favourite of this EP.
Don’t Let Me Let You starts with a guitar instrumental which compliments Mitchell's softer vocals on the opening verse that then sees many lyrics that will get the listeners thinking as you can hear s much emotion that pull you one way then another, then back once again. The chorus of Don't Let Me Let You features some more emotions whilst the chorus starts a little upbeat, you soon feel some heartbreak vibes especially the moments that happen after a break up - the emotions are everything. The second verse continues with the next time you see that person and how you try to carry on like everything is normal even though you know deep down you shouldn't - the mixed emotions within the song, just made me want to cry. The instrumental break up is wonderfully timed as it blends into the bridge and final verse chorus wonderfully bringing the song to the perfect closure.
She Hates Me Too has a softer sounding instrumental giving off some country feels. The first verse sees a different style from Mitchell thanks to the quickness of the lyrics that happen to stick out. The chorus of She Hates Me Too features some rather powerful lyrics which further a poignant message that will get you thinking and WOW! is all I can say. The second verse continues full of emotion - the hurt you hear in Mitchell's vocals is something that amazes me even more the more, I hear it which will show so much to the listeners. The attention to detail that Mitchell gives to this song throughout is just stunning and perfectly displayed throughout. She Hates Me Too deciding to end with the chorus is the perfect end to the song.
