The lyrics of this verse were sung from the heart based on experience whilst sharing a lot of regrets. The chorus features some honest truths that make for emotional listening as she reaching into her past in a way, I wasn't expecting to be sung in such an emotional way. By the end of the the chorus you can hear a realisation moment. The second verse of It Was Me continues the meaning of the song with the apologise part with a lot more honesty coming through. The final verse sees the song come full circle with the emotions, and thanks to Lauren's softer vocal in the final chorus.
If The World Was A Small Town starts with a guitar instrumental which is a little higher to the previous track on the album being out the hometown feels right from the start. The first verse sees Lauren's crisp soft vocal at the forefront that's gets you thinking from the very first lyric that took me back to my hometown, and all the memories we have from there - reminding me of my high school days especially. The chorus is of an upbeat tone complimented wonderfully with it's catchy lyrics that will no doubt get people singing along with. The second verse of If The World Was a Small Town continues with that 'you can't leave' feeling as all the memories hit you, but in a lovely way as it makes you realise that everyone is different. Getting Good ft Trisha Yearwood starts with a beautiful guitar instrumental which I love as it compliments the first verse wonderfully. The first verse is one that I caught myself relating too a lot. This verse is definitely one of coming with age and the realization that not everything is easy in life, but you still have that panic of how your life is going to go. The chorus is my favourite part of the song thanks to it's catchy lyrics and the part of the song that gets me thinking the most, bringing tears to my eyes. The second verse continues Getting Good wonderfully with Trisha Yearwood taking over lead vocals singing even more relatable lyrics that I caught myself relating too still - it's made me realise that getting 20 something is the hardest part of life. Lauren's vocal range is demonstrated the in the moment beautiful way throughout and Trisha's tone is stunning adding a few layers. I adore Trisha and Lauren's harmonies throughout the chorus. The instrumental near the end of the song is the perfect breakdown. The bridge of Getting Good is about the most heart-breaking thing that could ever happen in our lives - the loss of our parents. I caught myself breaking down because it's something that we never think about and remembered me that we really need to treasure our parents. Getting Good ending with the chorus bought the song to a natural end with both females bringing their harmonies back which I adored even more the more I heard it.

On Top Of The World has a guitar instrumental allowing for this sentimental feel to accompany the song with the first verse seeing for Lauren's soft vocal to shine whilst allowing for some raw emotion to show. The getting ready for a night out feels is full of a lot of raw emotion that got me thinking about all the possibilities for the song - this is something that makes a song even more special for me. The classic night out feels are everything because lets be honest we have all had those nights out. The journey that the song takes you on is so special, and unique - are you dreaming or it is real feels are wonderful. The second verse has some the most relatable lyrics for as lets be honest we have all done it after photos are taken on a night out especially us ladies with the soft tone adds another layer which I am in awe of! The final chorus is of a much softer crisp tone that sees another side of the story which for me was the most pure. I adore how Lauren has written this song wearing her heart on her sleeve.

Many romantic feels are given off thanks to the classic love story feeling which had me adoring the sentimental feel which wasn't the traditional ones I would have expected being honest. Written In The Bar is written as a story of growth, and how relationships change over time. Lauren's emotional vocal tone throughout was rather inspiring for the songs lyrics in all honesty. The softer vocal that Lauren provides at times was stunningly selected as it provided the perfect breakdown for the song especially ahead of the final chorus.
Change My Mind has a softer and slower that is the perfect end for Lauren's latest album as it shows so much versatility from Lauren. The first verse sees Lauren giving a different point of view to start before turning it around allowing the perfect opportunity for her to showcase her softer vocal once again. I caught myself getting emotional listening, and I don't think I'll be alone. The whole story's concept is beautiful.
