SINGLE REVIEW - LISA WRIGHT - THE IDEA OF YOU

Today (Friday 22nd July) will see British singer-songwriter, Lisa Wright release her brand new single, The Idea Of You.

The Idea Of You has a piano instrumental that happens throughout supporting the song wonderfully.
The first verse sees Lisa's soft vocal range at the forefront throughout allowing for many different levels to be added to her stunning vocal. Within this verse listeners will see a mix of dreaming and reality which is the perfect mix as it allows for beautiful song writing and storytelling with this alone giving me goosebumps.
The chorus features many catchy lyrics with the happy sharing those happy moments with the relationship is starting to grow and develop into something special however, it's all the idea you love which in turn allows for some wonderful moments from Lisa.
The second verse of The Idea Of You continues with the softer vocal opening up the other half of the song allowing for the vulnerability within the song writing to shine through. The instrumental break up after this verse is beautifully timed allowing for this wonderful break down ahead of the bridge allowing for it's key lyrics to be repeated once again - what a beautiful move!
The Idea Of You ending with the final chorus which sees another side of Lisa and who she is as an artist, and the more I hear the song the more I adore the take and direction.

EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
