CHARITY SINGLE NEWS FROM ONE TRICK PONY

One Trick Pony are a Northern-bred but London-based emerging UK Country Duo made up of Georgia Lennon and Michael Pickering.

Back in December, One Trick Pony presented a double-debut release of ‘You’re That Face’ and ‘Always Home’ across all major music platforms reaching numbers 6 and 7 in the iTunes Charts and receiving much critical acclaim.

This was closely followed by their first release of 2021, Old School which heralded their return to the country scene in the recognisable One Trick Pony style and was met by an equally exciting response from industry figures and fans alike, named as the British Country Music Association’s Country Release Friday.

‘Old School’ also marked the duo’s professional music video debut, and landed Georgia and Michael with their first headliner of 2021 at 229 London later this year.

One Trick Pony receive frequent airplay features on recognised radio stations such as Chris Country, Country Line, UK Country Radio, ARC Radio, CMR Nashville and the British Country Music Association Radio, and are now recognised as BBC Music Introducing artists.

The excitement surrounding their releases has provided the momentum to continue releasing original music into 2021 and beyond, with their second release of this year now officially announced.

Design: One Trick Pony

One Trick Pony will release their third single, ‘A New Hope’ on Friday 30th April across all major music platforms. A full scale music video is set to follow in the weeks succeeding full release.

‘A New Hope’ was written solely by Michael and takes the duo to an unheard avenue of their country sound with a heart-breaking narrative and darker subject matter. The song describes a situation surrounding a young lady who has remained in a relationship for too long, but has found the strength to leave. The narrative still possesses that all-encompassing feeling however, allowing listeners to find their own story within the music. But in true One Trick Pony style there is always that silver lining, and this one is the light at the end of the tunnel... ‘A New Hope’.

Testament to this important story, One Trick Pony have collaborated with notable organisation; Together We Stand UK on this release.

All proceeds from this single will be donated to Women’s Aid via Together We Stand UK, with the main aim of the release set to raise significant awareness of the important issue. As such, Georgia and Michael are looking for as much coverage as possible to deliver this crucial message.
