NEXT WEEK ON EMMERDALE AS THE DRAMA CONTINUES SOME OF THE CAST INVOLVED OPEN UP

During next week's visits to Emmerdale, viewers will see the storyline centered on a fateful night with not one, but two limousines in danger as one is left teetering on a treacherous frozen lake with someone's fingers grasping for life.
With the drama continuing, the cast and director of the episodes spoke about what fans can look forward to within the episodes that are to come.

Vicky Thomas, the director of the episodes said “I'm incredibly proud of what we are putting together and I am so grateful I got the opportunity to direct these episodes as they have been absolutely the highlight of my career to date.” Before adding “Being involved with the planning and workings has been such a treat because we don't always get the opportunity to do such big special effects or big stunt pieces. So when you do get the opportunity, it's great fun and it means you get to work with some incredible teams outside of the Emmerdale world, who bring their experience and expertise. I think the episodes look really special and I can’t wait for the audience to see them.”

Amy Walsh was asked about how exciting the episodes were to do, she stated “It was so exciting. I haven't been a part of many big, big stunts since I've been at Emmerdale. And you know, that's in 10 years. So you wait for these to come around, and you hope you're involved. You kind of half hope you're not, because you don't want to be leaving, but then half hope that you are, and you get to be a part of it. And it feels so special.”

When talking about these special set of episodes, Natalie Ann Jamieson said “These episodes should prove to be absolutely spectacular. Emmerdale have pulled out all the stops. There are a lot of special effects. There is ice - there is water - there are crashes - there is just about every weather you could dream up - there is peril, there is danger - there is death and injuries. The hospital's going to be so busy. I would say it’s probably the most soapy week of soap done in the most spectacular way.” Before continuing “The viewers will experience high drama, they will experience peril but they will also experience fun and giggles, as we always do in Emmerdale plus tragedy - we’re going for everything these episodes. I can’t wait for the viewers to see them.”

When asked about how excited she is for the viewers to see the episodes, Lucy Pargeter (Chas Dingle) commented “I'm really excited. I think it's going to come out the blue. They are a series of episodes that don’t stop. There are so many people involved. There are so many storylines in there and there is so much that happens in every single scene that I'm just hoping that they've got their hands on their knickers and that they are ready for a ride!”

When asked are you proud of these episodes, Emma Atkins (Charity Dingle) commented “I am so proud of what Emmerdale has produced and my message to fans is to watch these spectacular episodes.  It’s high drama, very emotional and let us just say do not miss it - because you're in for an absolute ride of a lifetime. And the ramifications and the ripple effect will go on into the village for months to come in terms of the outcomes of this week.” Before continuing “I was so proud just being amongst the people involved in this big storyline and watching them pull out some of their best acting I have ever seen. It's been remarkable and very humbling to see my friends completely smash it.”

Martelle Edinborough (Suzy Merton) when asked about are you looking forward to the audience reaction, she stated “Yes I think they are going to be blown away by all the twists and turns.”

When asked to describe the this week's episodes in 3 words, Vicky Thomas stated “Tense. Heart-wrenching. Life-affirming.”

These episodes of Emmerdale will air between Monday 17th - Friday 21st February at 7.30pm on ITV.
Episodes will also be available from 7am on ITVX on day of airing.
