C2C INTERVIEW WITH DREW BALDRIDGE AS HE TALKS ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Back in September last year, Drew Baldridge was confirmed for this year's Country 2 Country Festival which is happening between Friday 14th - Sunday 16th March at London's O2 Arena, where Drew is set to perform for the first time, and I recently caught up with him to discuss the event and his plans for whilst he is here.

Hello Drew. Thank you so much for finding the time for this interview. I know you are busy you are. I have to start by saying the biggest congratulations to you on being selected to play the spotlight stage at C2C London and Glasgow in March! How are you feeling about coming over to perform at C2C for the first time?
I am pumped! This is my first time to travelling to the UK and I heard that there a lot of country music fans there. I am hoping there is time for a little sightseeing too.

What's the one thing you are the most excited about for during C2C?
I am honestly excited for everything. I have played so many festivals in the US, but being able to perform for a whole new audience is going to be fun. My song “She's Somebody’s Daughter” hit No. 1 on UK country radio last year, so I hope fans are familiar and sing along!

What can fans expect from your set? Please tell me Tough People and She's Somebody's Daughter will feature?
Yes, I will definitely play “Daughter” and “Tough People”. I may also play a new song that is not released yet, and maybe some 90’s country covers!

How are you feeling about seeing the reaction from UK fans to your music? UK Country Music fans listen to the lyrics of songs very closely.
It never gets old to hear my fans singing the lyrics back to me at shows. I honestly get emotional sometimes thinking about how far we've come over the past few years and playing these massive shows I have always dreamed of.

Are there any artists you are hoping to catch at the festival?
I'm good friends with Lainey Wilson, so I always love seeing her set. And of course Cody Johnson who I am touring with now.

Are you excited to hopefully meet some of your UK Country Music fans during your visits?
Yes of course! Please say hi if you see me around.

2024 was a very busy year for you with your music releases and going on tour, how are you feeling heading into 2025?
It’s a wild feeling because I have been working so hard for over a decade for the chance to be this busy. I feel thankful that fans are embracing my music and I am getting so many opportunities that I have been dreaming about forever.

What are you hoping 2025 brings for you?
Health and happiness for my friends and family especially spending time with my wife and son and sharing all of this with them.

C2C is a great place to discover new artists and I hope you have a great time.
Thank you!
Thank you very much for your time today, and I can't wait to see you in March.
