INTERVIEW WITH EMILY BROOKE ABOUT HER UPCOMING ALBUM, ALL OF THE PIECES

This week's interview is with emerging artist, Emily Brooke who is set to release her brand new album, all of the pieces (unplugged) next Friday (15th November).

Hi Emily. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us. As you are new to many of our readers can you please ask you to introduce yourself to our readers?
Thank you so much for having me! My name is Emily Brooke. I am a country pop/ rock singer-songwriter from Wellington, Florida. I started out taking guitar lessons when I was 9 years old. I was a Top 24 contestant on American Idol when I was 17 and shortly before I turned 21, I moved to Nashville, TN.

I remember seeing you on American Idol, so its amazing to see how far you have come since then - so a big congratulations on achieving everything you have.
Aww! So sweet, thank you so much!

Your recently released the first song from your album, last to know what has the reaction been like to the single?
It has been really great feedback! It was streamed over 15,000 times in the first week which has been really cool to see! It was added to a few Spotify editorial playlists as well!

Can you please tell us a little about all of the pieces (unplugged)?
“All of the pieces” has been in the works for a couple years now actually! I always wanted to create an album that encompassed the falling in and falling apart of a love story. When I was dating, I always wish there was an album I could go to for that and over the years and through personal experiences I ended up writing a lot of those feelings that are on “all of the pieces”

The album is made up of 8 tracks, how did you decide on the track list?
I wanted each song to be a different specific feeling so that helped a lot. I would look back at songs I had written to see if they fit and if I was missing a feeling that I was looking for, we went in to write it specifically for the album.

I've heard that the album takes listeners on an emotional journey through your own experiences, how were these songs for you to write and what made you want to take the listeners on such a personal journey?
Writing is very therapeutic to me so most of the album came naturally! I always wanted an album that I could feel my way through when in a relationship and I thought I couldn’t be the only one that felt that way. I’ve always been very vulnerable in my music so this was something very exciting to create & so different from anything else I’ve done.

How would you describe All of the Pieces (unplugged) in 3 words?
Vulnerable, rollercoaster, honest.

With us being a UK Country Music page, I can't let you go without asking you about your plans for a possible trip to the UK in the future?
I love that! I actually just got back from a tour in the Netherlands and that was my first time performing abroad! I can’t wait to play more places, especially the UK if C2C is looking for a hungry country pop/rock artist, send them my way! *laughs*

Can I please also ask about your plans for the rest of 2024?
The rest of 2024 I have a lot of shows in the states between Nashville and a lot of different parts of Florida, planning the next releases after the album and tours for the new year! Busy, busy!

Finally before I let you go is there anything you can tease about your plans for 2025?
New music, updated sound, new shows in new places!
That's sounds so exciting, we can't wait! Thank you so much for taking the time to talk about all of the pieces.
Thank you so much for having me on! This was so fun!
