TIGIRLILY GOLD WIN BEST NEW DUO OF THE YEAR AT THE ACM AWARDS

Following last night's (16th May) ACM Awards where Tigirlily Gold won Best New Duo of the Year at the ceremony where they also performed their single, I Tried A Ring on which was released on Friday 5th January kick starting a brilliant 2024 for sisters, Kendra and Krista.

I Tried A Ring On was the follow up for their top 40 single, Shoot Tequila, which saw the sisters catapult further into the mainstream as Tigirlily Gold were named 2024 CMT Next Women of Country earlier this year.

On Tuesday (14th May), Tigirlily Gold were crowned ACM's New Duo of the Year during their ACM kick off performance seeing them win their first major award show.

To mark the occasion, they also made their award show debut performance with I Tried A Ring On live during the 59th ACM Awards on Amazon Prime Video, which Vulture called “a stellar performance,” while Billboard noted it highlighted “their confidence and tight-knit performance ability on one of country music’s biggest nights.”

“It is such an honor to have been named ACM New Duo/Group of the Year,” Kendra shared. “We have been a band since we were kids, and we couldn’t feel more grateful for the year we have had. Getting to perform on the main show…it’s just a dream come true.” Krista went on to add “We were always taught that if you work hard, are kind to people, and you never quit…good things will come. We could not be more excited to be recognized in this way.”

On Friday 26th July, Tigirlily Gold are releasing their debut album, Blonde where they teamed up with  producers Shane McAnally, Pete Good and Alex Kline. In addition to Leroy released last Friday (10th May), Blonde will also feature I Tried a Ring On along with the rowdy viral sensation Shoot Tequila whilst also being filled with deeply personal tracks and poignant tales of love and loss alongside powerful anthems and songs of female empowerment, the pair says their goal was to bring girl group energy back to country music.

Blonde feature 10 tracks, 9 of which the sisters co-wrote along with a cover of Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis. The track list is as follows;

Following a tough few months for Lauren Bolton since her return back in July, it's no wonder next week she is set to struggle once again when it comes to her son, Frankie who was saw during last night's episode (18th November) is out of hospital with them both in a foster placement. CORONATION STREET EPISODE REVIEW - WHO KILLED JOEL DEERING REVEALED

During tonight's episode (15th November), Coronation Street viewers were treated to an exciting series of flashbacks from the night that Joel Deering was murdered, with the killer being revealed at the end. Following Wednesday's cliff-hanger (13th November) of Max Turner in his cell saying 'what have you done?' with tonight's episode beginning with a shot of Max being interviewed with close up of the suspect characters and their motives which were cleverly delivered to us viewers - the way Max was wanting to protect Lauren Bolton was obvious, however the fact that Lauren thought Max was going to do something said a lot. I liked how Coronation Street decided to deliver each character's part of the story in between PC Kit Green's police interview with each of the suspects which is very cleverly achieved as it left us viewers thinking that it could have been any of them right up until the moment it was revealed.
