EMMERDALE CASTING NEWS AS BETH CORDINGLY JOINS THE CAST

2024 is set to bring a new character to the Emmerdale village as Beth Cordingly joins as Caleb Milligan's wife, Ruby Fox-Milliagan.

Ruby is a fiery, confident, unpredictable, but a fiercely devoted mum to her and Caleb's son, Nicky is due to make her debut in January.

Talking of joining the Emmerdale role, Beth said: "I’m delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale, it’s an enormous privilege and Ruby is a dream role. She’s a firecracker and a trouble-maker and I think people will love her or hate her, and I can’t wait to get stuck in with this fabulous cast."

Ruby definitely sounds like one interesting character that I hope is allowed to bring us viewers many interesting moments. I am excited to see the family dynamic on screen.

Emmerdale Producer Kate Brooks added: "Ruby is an absolute force of nature who sweeps through the village with scores to settle. Fiercely loyal to her family, Ruby will do anything and everything to protect her loved ones. Her relationship with Caleb is infused with intense passion that manifests itself as the ultimate volatile relationship. Ruby is a character who pulls no punches and always makes an impression. We're delighted to welcome Beth to the show and we're sure she'll make a wonderful addition to the village."

Beth is a well known face to many no doubt with her credits including The Bill playing PC Kerry Young which is the show I remember her from, as well as Family Affairs.

Emmerdale airs Monday - Friday at 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

With Lauren Bolton having had an extremely tough 2024, the character is currently in prison for killing Joel Deering it's no surprise that Lauren is struggling even though she has been reunited with her son, Frankie in the mother and baby unit as well as being supported by her boyfriend, Max Turner who has also offered to help with Frankie. Cait Fitton who plays Lauren recently sat down to talk about her character Lauren's year and how she felt about the past 12 months saying   “It’s definitely been exhausting but also very rewarding.
