SINGLE REVIEW - CHARLOTTE YOUNG - LOVERS LAST CHANCE SALOON

Next Tuesday (14th February) will see UK based singer-songwriter, Charlotte Young release her brand new single, Lovers Last Chance Saloon.


Lovers Last Chance Saloon starts with a soulful instrumental which blends beautifully into the first verse as Charlotte's crisp vocal opens with lyrics that got me thinking right from the very start. The songwriting from Charlotte on this verse alone is fantastic and it continues throughout with many stand out moments.
The honesty within some of the songs lyrics are amazing, however it's especially comes across when it comes to the chorus adding a very 80's vibe at times that isn't something I'd usually enjoy but mixed with the country vibes it works wonderfully - this is something I love within Charlotte's musical ability. Charlotte isn't afraid to try something different and stand out from the crowd - a credit to who she is as an artist!

Lovers Last Chance Saloon for the second verse continues with this brilliant soft vocal that allows for the attention to detail in the lyrics to shine through. As the final chorus comes in this is a fantastic moment allowing for her different tones to come through.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
