WHY BRINGING HOLLYOAKS PERI AND JULIET BACK TOGETHER IS BRILLIANT

Over the past few weeks, Hollyoaks have bought back together Peri Lomax and Juliet Nightingale which I have to is a brilliant move as it made a lot of us viewers very happy.

Hollyoaks viewers have always wanted for Peri and Juliet to get back together especially as Juliet is currently going through chemotherapy. I know I've said this before but how brilliant soaps doing these storylines are as they reach so many people and encourage viewers to spread the word about what they have watched, or if that have any of those symptoms they know how to go about getting checked - you only have to look at how well their Hollyoaks IRL series has been over the past few weeks.

Last week saw Juliet finally admit how she felt about Peri during a speech at The Dog In The Pond in front of an audience leading to Peri always admitting that she loves her too and they shared a kiss in front of many happy people. You only have to look at the social media last week after this moment to see how happy people were.
However it was the day after that Peri suggest about going out for a walk which Juliet said that she didn't want to because of treatment allowing for the pair to have an honest chat after what's next for them now they are back together, the smiles say a lot.

This week's episodes saw Donna-Marie wanting to help her daughter despite the fact that Peri wanted to look after her girlfriend. It was the honesty from Juliet about her chemo in Monday's episode leading to Donna-Marie opening up to her daughter was emotional made me teary, you could hear that it was meant.
It was fantastic to see in Tuesday's episode that Donna-Marie and Peri were working together on a special day for Juliet.

It was Tuesday's FL was brilliant showing another side of the characters with Peri's wanting to surprise her girlfriend, Juliet but Juliet was overwhelmed as Peri wanted to move in. I really felt for Juliet as she doesn't know what to believe. Seeing Peri and Juliet open up to James, Romeo and Brooke about how they were feeling they just need to be open and honest despite how hard it would be for both of them. But it was the end of the episode that saw Juliet lash out that saw the most emotion. However, Wednesday's FL that saw many incredibly emotive scenes from Peri and Juliet as they both broke down after admitting how terrified they both are for the situation that they find themselves in. The final scene of the episode was super powerful as Juliet handed Peri the clippers Niamh, you are smashing these scenes it's obvious how much research you and Hollyoaks have done for this storyline.

Thursday's FL broke me with Donna Marie as she saw her daughter for the first time with her shaved head the honesty wow so powerful. With Peri proudly beside her - watching them two together is fantastic and what a journey it's been for the characters. With facial expressions from Donna-Marie were super honest. Peri and Juliet moving in together brilliant move.

COMING UP ON EMMERDALE: AMELIA CHRISTENS ESTHER AS CHARITY AND AMY BRING THE DRAMA

EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
