SINGLE REVIEW - FIRST TIME FLYERS - HAPPIER
First Time Flyer are a brand new group manged by the brilliant Donna Zanetti of Zimagined who already works with Kezia Gill.
First Time Flyers are made up of Tim Prottey-Jones, Vicki Manser, Jake Morrell, and Poppy Fardell who are set to release their debut single, Happier on next Friday (20th January).
Happier starts with an upbeat instrumental that I have to say is the perfectly instrumental for their debut single.
The first verse sees Jake take on the lead vocals with lyrics that got me thinking right from the start that carried on throughout the whole song making it a rather special and unique song.
On the run up to the chorus and when the chorus came in, Vicki, Poppy and Tim's vocals blended with Jake's perfectly showcasing what an incredibly special and unique super group of artists they are!
The lyrics are one that are rather heartfelt mixed with their sensational range of vocal tones between them. The uniqueness within this group is something so beautiful, I am extremely grateful!
The second verse sees Poppy taking the lead with her soft tone allowing for the song to go to another place that made it even more special with the lyrics taking you on another ride that you never knew you needed.
Every single moment Poppy, Jake, Tim and Vicki's vocals all come together it makes for a beautiful collaboration.
The bridge sees Jake showcasing their amazing vocal tones along with Vicki who takes the song to another level.
The final chorus of Happier brings the song full circle especially with Vicki's higher tone being showcased alongside Poppy's softer side. With Tim taking over on lead vocals.
The groups harmonies throughout the chorus are standout. What a incredible song to have as a debut for the band!
