INTRODUCING SUPER GROUP, FIRST TIME FLYERS

Many of us may know First Time Flyers as individual artists made up of Tim Prottey-Jones, Vicki Manser, Jake Morrell, and Poppy Fardell.

Tim Prottey-Jones is the founder of Country Americana band, The Wandering Hearts who many of you will be familiar with due to his international success within the band including performances at The Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, and the iconic Bluebird Cafe. Tim has been writing for himself as well as other artists along with producing. Tim has also win multiple awards including Best Male Vocalist as well as Best UK Musician at the BCMA Awards.

Vicki Manser is a singer-songwriter who has topped the iTunes Country Chart with her debut single, Pick Me Up as well as being a well known Musical Theatre actress having featured in Six, Rock Of Ages, Bat Out Of Hell, and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Vicki's high energy on stage and her stunning vocals make her a fan favourite.

Jake Morrell was discovered by Dermot O'Leary who featured him on his Radio 2 Show from there Jake has enjoyed success as a solo artist including performing at Country 2 Country at The O2.

Poppy Fardell is an artist who captivates her audience from the very first moment that she steps out onto the stage through her song-writing which sparks truth with many of her fans within her lyric. Poppy's debut EP released last month (December 2022) entered the chart at Number 3 making her one artist to watch. As well as being a singer, Poppy is also a trained actress landing a lead role in BAFTA award winning actress, Katherine Parkinson cast her in her play, Sitting.

These ambitious and talented artists are taking on the next chapter in their journey together, and it's going to be an exciting one.

First Time Flyers have magical harmonies bringing a little bit of Fleetwood Mac mixed with a sprinkle of Lady A energy crossed with the pop side of Harry Styles and Tom Grennan making this one of the most exciting bands to launch.

Vicki, Tim, Poppy, and Jake bring years of talent and experience, in addition to a unique sound that is impossible to categorise into one genre, whilst their music remains unique, real, and completely relatable like you would expect for them as solo artists.

First Time Flyers are set to release their debut single, Happier on Friday 20th January. Happier weaves harmony and heartbreak into an upbeat yet angst-filled dialogue. It's about the juxtaposition between doing the right thing for someone else and breaking your own heart in the process.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. The chorus features many catchy upbeat lyrics that I could myself singing along with despite not knowing the lyrics 100% typical Kellie. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
