EP REVIEW - ELERI ANGHARAD - A MERRY ELERI CHRISTMAS

This Friday (3rd December) will see Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri Angharad release her brand new EP called A Merry Eleri Christmas.
A Merry Eleri Christmas is made up of 4 tracks - 2 originals, 1 classic Christmas song and a Justin Bieber cover.

Homemade Christmas has a joyful upbeat Christmassy instrumental that I have to say instantly took me off into another world. The first verse sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront allowing for her this purity within her voice to shine through with the most magical lyrics that you can hear mean so much to her. Christmas is a time of joy, and this song is definitely one of those moments where you remember. I adore the lyrics, and how more people will be able to relate it to theirs. The chorus features some of the most gorgeous lyrics that get you thinking about our loved ones and about our memories of Christmas past and present. The second verse of Homemade Christmas continues with a warm magical feel bringing a lot of emotion with it - I caught myself getting emotional many times as I caught myself thinking about the Christmases I've had with loved ones who image no longer with me! The final verse sees Eleri's slow and softer vocal tone bringing some of the most poignant lyrics to live especially as it goes into the final chorus of the song. WOW, WOW, WOW, Homemade Christmas is brilliant!

Mistletoe has a slow but softer sounding instrumental which compliments Eleri's soft vocal tone. The first verse sees Eleri bringing this Justin Bieber cover to her own little world allowing for the lyrics to find their own interpretation of the songs lyrics. I love Eleri's tone throughout as it allows for us listeners to hear exactly who she is as an artist especially within the chorus. The second verse of Mistletoe allows for even more of Eleri's stunning vocals to shine through displaying another side of what an amazing artist she is! The chorus is the part of the song that Eleri amazes me on. The final verse sees the songs most wonderful lyrics being bought to life a little more along with the final chorus seeing this gorgeous vocal tone that Eleri allows us in to hear.

Santa's Little Helper has a soft instrumental complimenting Eleri's softer vocals on the first verse and throughout adding this brilliant dynamic. The first verse sees Eleri bringing this wonderful song to life with her own sweet and special messages that I think will see many listeners relating to their own families and Christmas memories. The chorus features some of my favourite lyrics allowing for an even more beautiful story to be shared, there is something so magical about the way that Eleri sings and has written this song giving it many emotional moments. The second verse of Santa's Little Helper continues with chance in direction that takes the song full circle which I just love thanks to the vocal tone. The final verse is a jolly vocal at the forefront which is the perfect break up for me personally, especially as it's not long until the softer vocal returns to end the song with the beautiful chorus.

Santa Baby starts with guitar instrumental to start this classic Christmas song off in the best way possible. The first verse sees Eleri's soft magical tone opening up with her own interruption of the songs lyrics making it even more beautiful.  The fact that Eleri isn't afraid to sing this classic and make it her own has me emotional because my god this version is stunning. The classic soft, sweet blend is everything as it allows listeners to hear a different side of who Eleri is as an artist.

Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. The chorus features many catchy upbeat lyrics that I could myself singing along with despite not knowing the lyrics 100% typical Kellie. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
