SINGLE REVIEW - LAUREN HALL - JUST LIKE I KNEW

This Friday (4th September) will see up and coming US singer-songwriter, Lauren Hall who I am very happy to feature on our website once again as she is set to release her brand new single, Just Like I Knew.
Just Like I Knew starts with an upbeat guitar and drum instrumental which I have to admit brings in so much to the song despite not hearing Lauren's vocals until a little while later.
The first verse of Just Like I Knew sees Lauren's soft vocals whilst showcasing her wonderful vocal tone which happens to allow the lyrics to come through beautifully the attention to detail is perfect.
The chorus features some wonderfully catchy lyrics that I couldn't help but want to sing and dance along with despite not being able to do either. You can hear so much vulnerable from Lauren within the lyrics which for me is unique, and shows everyone who Lauren is as an artist.
You can hear Lauren has written Just Like I Knew about a situation she has been in, and songs like this are magical.
The second verse continues Just Like I Knew beautifully as in this verse you get to hear another side of her vocal range, and meaning of the lyrics being sung which continues this song incredibly!
The instrumental break up ahead of the final chorus was a wonderful move from Lauren as it allowed the song a little time to breathe.
Just Like I Knew ends with the chorus sees Lauren's extremely soft vocal tone at the forefront which is quickly taken back to her normal vocal range in a fantastic move.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. The chorus features many catchy upbeat lyrics that I could myself singing along with despite not knowing the lyrics 100% typical Kellie. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
