NEXT WEEK ON CORONATION STREET: BETSY AND LAUREN HAVE ARGUMENT AS BETSY FEELS ALONE

Betsy Swain and Lauren Bolton have always had a strong friendship, however, during next week's visits to Weatherfield viewers will see the friends continue to struggle knowing how best to support one another.

The week begins with Betsy confiding in Ryan Connor that she'd like to speak with Dylan Wilson, however having been summoned by Ryan, Dylan calls round to see Betsy. As Betsy tries to reassure him that she doesn't blame him for her condition, they're interrupted by the arrival of Lisa Connor-Swain.

The following day Lauren Bolton and Brody Michaelis visit Betsy who is struggling to talk. Lauren is horrified when Ryan reveals Dylan called round, and as the speech therapist arrives, Betsy continues to struggle with her words. Lauren insists to Brody that Dylan must be held accountable.

Later, in the precinct, Nina Lucas finds Dylan unconscious. But when Dylan wakes up, will he be able to tell who attacked him?

As the week continues, Betsy and Lauren have an argument as Lauren storms out leaving Betsy on her own, however, when Lauren returns, she finds Carla Connor-Swain there with Betsy in tears having wet herself. Carla rails at Lauren for abandoning her. Following what happened the previous day, Lisa urges Betsy to get some fresh air, but refuses to leave the house.

However, as Lauren calls at Number 6 and apologises to Betsy for leaving her on her own. Will the best friends make up?
