EMMERDALE SUMMER TEASERS: WOMEN OF POWER AND PERIL

As the drama in the Yorkshire Dales continues this summer, new allegiances from loyalty, commitment, or faithfulness are formed and old feuds are reignited. With Gabby Thomas, Charity Dingle, Dawn Fletcher, Sarah Sugden, Serena Sugden, and Sadie King all taking centre stage it's set to be an explosive season that will leave the Emmerdale village changed forever.

Charity Dingle is desperate to protect her family. However, she soon finds herself caught in a web of lies that threatens to shatter everything she holds dear reaching a climax as with a confession that is set to rock the village to its core.

With the dramatic return of Sadie King after 20 years away, it's clear that she has an agenda with her arrival sparking surprise with the character set to reveal a startling secret that will leave the village reeling.

With Dawn Fletcher's big day fast approaching as she is set to marry Joe Tate, the character will find herself caught in the crossfire of a terrible feud. Feeling trapped, Dawn faces a harrowing choice between her present life, and the hope of a future.

Sarah Sugden is set to be pushed to the edge as she struggles to hold it together, and with the truth of Leyla's parentage threatening to reveal itself at any time, is her world set to come crashing down around her?

From the moment, music theatre star Casey Al-Shaqsy joined as Serena Sugden finds herself in an increasingly volatile situation, and she must decide how much she is willing to lose to protect those secrets.

Finally, Gabby Thomas continues to struggle to keep things under control which will severely impact her health, putting her life at risk. When a terrible incident occurs she's left with a moral decision to make which could destroy the life of those she cares about.

Talking about what's to come this Summer, Producer Laura Shaw shared “From explosive secrets that shatter lives to dangerous new allegiances that threaten to tear the village apart, this season promises to be one of our most intense yet. The village is set for a dramatic transformation, and we can’t wait for our audience to see the peril these characters face.”

Emmerdale airs Monday - Friday at 8pm on ITV1, and YouTube, and ITVX from 7am.
