COMING UP ON CORONATION STREET: MAX ACCIDENTALLY INTRODUCES FRANKIE TO JOEL'S PARENTS WITH CAIT FITTON QUOTES

Between Monday 9th and Friday 13th December's visits to the cobbles based soap, Coronation Street viewers will see Joel Deering's parents, Gus and Anthea arrive on the street of Weatherfield.

With Gus and Anthea on the scene once again following a visit to Weatherfield to invite Dee-Dee Bailey to a memorial service in honour of Joel's birthday, however as Max Turner passes with Lauren Bolton's son, Frankie who he has offered to help look after following Lauren's ask for help, he stops and introduces them to Lauren's son, but when Dee-Dee reveals who they are Max is left mortified. Oh, Max what have you done!

Later in the week, Gus and Anthea have a brief solicitor appointment where they quickly wrap things up as Max arrives with Frankie.

Inviting them back to Number 8, Max leaves Joel's parents alone with Frankie but when he returns he is shocked to find them gone. So many questions are going through my mind with this.

When Cait Fitton who plays Lauren was asked about how Lauren feels about having Joel's parents on the scene, she stated: “Oh she hates them!” Before adding “Both Gus and Anthea are a massive threat to Lauren because now that Joel isn't around, they will do anything in their power to bring Lauren down. I think this is where we will see another side to Lauren, because it’s a natural motherly instinct, and she'll be in full mother mode as well as survival mode, but not just for herself anymore, but her son.”

As Lauren learns that her son as been admitted to hospital and they need to run some tests, with the question remaining what has happened to Frankie?

Cait was asked about what goes through Lauren's mind with she first hears about her son, saying “Instantly Lauren thinks Gus and Anthea have done something to set her up. She can't even think rationally because she just thinks something sinister has happened so Lauren will lose Frankie forever. Lauren's looking for someone to blame and I think Max will get the brunt of it because he should never have taken his eyes off of Frankie for even a second when Gus and Anthea were visiting him.”

These scenes will air between Monday 9th - Friday 13th December at 8pm on ITV with episodes available from 7am on ITVX.
