WHY THE PAST TWO HOLLYOAKS EPISODES HAVE BEEN FANTASTIC
Monday and Tuesday's episodes of this week's Hollyoaks have seen a mix of emotion with Monday's having a special set up with Luke Morgan's opening dialogue being a great one.
Viewers saw Luke only wanting the best for his best friend, Darren Osborne who's secret it was meant to be. To viewers then seeing Cindy Cunningham stressing over Luke, I really feel for her especially as she opened up to Zara Morgan about how extremely she was feeling. Steph Waring and Kelly Condron are brilliant. Amongst all the other drama going on in the village.
Next it was Nancy and Darren's wedding day, with Luke's dialogue continuing to make me emotional. Like how Zara is helping Nancy, but is keeping Cindy in the dark the best thing?!
Love that Nancy and Darren are married as Luke surprises the married couple once again leaving Cindy even more confused as she knew nothing. I have to admit I cried at Nancy and Cindy's heart-to-heart over Nancy's wedding day. I love the wedding vows they shared in the Cunningham bizarre as they were rather fetching for their journey. I loved the nod to the past as Jack gave Nancy Frankie's ring an emotional moment. The way that Tony delivered Luke's best man speech was beautiful as
Chesney Hawkes came in to perform 'The One And Only'.
The next episode or Monday's first look (due to air on Channel 4 Wednesday) saw Tony, Ollie, Darren, Tom, Yazz, Zara, Cindy, and of course, Luke are in Majorca with a dream sequence which featured some heartfelt dialogue. Love the Cindy and Luke scenes as Steph Waring and Gary Lucy have this wonderful bond. I'm getting emotional writing this blog post. Loved the teasing throughout the episode of many different characters.
Ollie, Darren, Tony and Luke having a whale of a time playing beach ball.
Luke taking the time to praise Ollie was such a heartfelt moment - felt like time was running out, before the drama started. I really felt for the the lads and especially Luke especially after meeting up with someone on the island called Alex.
With emotional Cindy is het up especially as Luke arrived in the way he did, which left Cindy to stress even more. Tears started to make an appearance.
Tom and Cindy having many heart-to-heart moments allowing us viewers share these moments - wow Cindy's powerful words have me sobbing! The father and son moments between Luke and Ollie are emotional, but I loved how Luke had a brain wave as he works out about Alex - Yes, Luke!
With Luke being demonstrated to get to the bottom of everything that happened with Ollie by his side was a lovely scene as he was determined to get the ring back as Alex arrived, oh Luke. Thank god for Tony and Darren rushing to help. The sunny scenes are filled with such sadness.
WOW, what a powerful moment as Cindy and Gary had their last heart-to-heart chat - I am a sobbing especially as the waves hit the rocks. As Cindy walked away, whilst Luke walked onto the cliffs looking up to the moon as he falls cliff side. The montage of Luke's time in Hollyoaks, I'm a blubbering mess. The goosebumps! The attention to detail in these scene alone was so special.
Back in the village, Nancy was struggling with pain that is until she is locked in classroom with Felix Westwood as her waters break. As Nancy started to get contraction it was obvious that Felix was the only one who could help her. Wow, Nancy you had me crying about your past children and how they should be here. I was very happy for Nancy after the birth of her baby girl. Jessica Fox, you are one brilliantly talented actress!
Richard Burke - THANK YOU FOR A BRILLIANT EPISODE!
Gary Lucy, what a way to end your journey as Luke, you definitely gave me goosebumps during tonight's episode. Luke for me was a character that I have enjoyed watching and especially in the early Hollyoaks days because the way you have handled every single piece of detail wonderfully and with so much care. You are one hell of an actor, Gary!
Steph Waring and Kelly Condron, I just wanted to give you the praise you deserve for that episode - you both being in the final days of Gary Lucy's journey were fantastic and you delivered all the emotion beautifully and in a way that no one ever could.
These episode of Hollyoaks aired Monday 6th on Channel 4 with E4 showing a special 60-minute one hour episode.
