NEXT WEEK IN EMMERDALE: MANDY DISCOVERS THAT VINNY IS ALREADY MARRIED

With Vinny Dingle and his new wife, Liv having eloped a few weeks ago after the family drama beforehand, it’s no doubt that when their families discovered their wonderful news they were going to kick off over the secrecy.

With cousins Chas and Charity Dingle not seeing eye to eye still it looks like the B&B and The Woolpack are set to go up against each other as Mandy Dingle and Chas decide to hold Liv and Vinny’s engagement party at the B&B knowing that it will cause a clash with the launch of The Woolpack.

In true soap style nothing without a little drama in this case with a postal mix-up the truth it about to come out as Samson Dingle hands Noah Dingle an envelope addressed to “Mr. & Mrs. V. Dingle”. Noah reveals that it contains Liv and Vinny’s marriage certificate to Mandy. Uh-oh! Mandy is floored by this news. I have to admit I am sad for her but respect their decision as let’s be honest it’s because of her and Chas they eloped in the first place.

Later when Vinny arrives, a devastated Mandy presents him with the certificate and demands an explanation. A hurt Mandy isn’t one, I like seeing.

As Mandy goes on to explain her hurt, as she sees his wedding as a betrayal of their relationship, Vinny’s guilt-ridden. I feel for Mandy, but maybe you should ask him why?
With Mandy upset, Chas comes up with a solution for Vinny in that they should make their fake engagement party into a real wedding reception which the newlyweds agree too. Love how Chas is trying to help the pair make things right with Mandy.

However, the next day as Vinny and Liv try to heal Mandy’s hurt, they invite her to be their guest of honour at their wedding reception, but will Mandy accept?

But the celebration  itself isn’t without drama as Liv and Vinny have to change venues last minute which sees Lydia Dingle trying to help, but that’s not the last thing to go wrong as things get worse for the pair as Liv and Vinny’s wedding reception is ruined by disaster which sees the sprinkler system turned on. Is it Emmerdale family event without a little bit of drama?

Emmerdale from next week will air at 7.30pm with an hour long on Thursday evenings (7.30pm – 8.30pm)

COMING UP ON EMMERDALE: AMELIA CHRISTENS ESTHER AS CHARITY AND AMY BRING THE DRAMA

With Amelia Spencer about to christen her daughter, Esther it wouldn't be a soap without drama during the ceremony would it? EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
