WHY THE SOAPS ARE OUR FAVOURITES

Welcome to another blog post where I will be discussing the reasons why different soaps are our favourites, and the things that make us viewers went to tune in.

So let's start with the one we are loving and that is Emmerdale and one of the reason we both love watching the show each episode is because it allows for us viewers to take a break from your own worries in life and the characters are ones that many people will be able to say 'oh, I know a person like that' from the characters in the show. Emmerdale over the years has tackled some of the most important topics which it continues to do today in raising awareness that viewers would necessarily know about this shows helps to educate people in a real entertaining, raw, and emotional way.
The cast are some of the most incredible people and are so lovely and interactive as well as the behind the scenes teams because they are the most creative people, and a credit to the show - this is clear within their job roles on/ off screen.
Emmerdale make characters that viewers well and truly love, as well as love to hate at times. I love how we have grown up watching the show, and seeing the cast watch the grow up before our eyes is wonderful and we feel like we share our experiences with them as well as what we do.
Finally, Emmerdale provides and continues to do amazing storylines with experiences and stunts that have many of us viewers on the edge of our seats feeling the same emotions as the characters as well as the village itself offering this feel of community especially with the cast and fans, but even when they behind the scenes team meet fans they are the nicest people (this is from experience!)

With Emmerdale heading into its 50th year, I can't wait to see where the show goes from here and what the schedule change to 7.30pm will do for the soap from this tomorrow (Monday 7th March).
Emmerdale for me will always be the show that introduced to wonderful world of soap thanks to some of the most iconic characters over the years.

Next up is Coronation Street which carries a lot of humour through the show and always has done which is what a lot of the characters were designated for which is a credit to the show. The families within Corrie are rather iconic and have been from day one, and that rarely changes but when they do it is interesting. Over the years many of the characters have come and gone, but their families and legacy are still there and talked about. We really enjoy the show when different storylines hit you leaving you gripped from start to finish which in turn allows for us see the characters/ actors grow with the characters and feel very single part of their emotions.
The way that the cobbles of the street feel like a real local town is something is creditable from the shops, to the restaurants and then the daily life of the characters making you feel part of the community. Amy feels like Corrie is home to some of the most iconic soap characters.

Finally, we have Hollyoaks that we have to say feels rather different to the other soaps as they have a different target audience that is great as it opens a lot more discussion for the younger viewers thanks to the constant drama. The fact that none of the shows characters are completely innocent or guilt free makes for interesting viewing. All of the shows characters are involved in some sort of drama all the time making a lot of complex characters which is something I love. The show has a lot more character diversity and tackles real issues that are happening in the world right now to help raise awareness to their young audience.

I haven't added EastEnders as I haven't watched the show in a while.
