WHY HOLLYOAKS FAVOURITES HAS MADE AMAZING VIEWING OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS
Tonight's episode of Hollyoaks Favourites was the last one before the show returns to it's regular 5 days a week, and I have to say how amazing all the episodes have been as they have allowed us fans to re-watch some of our favourite episodes with some viewers even watching episodes for the first time.
The episodes shown of Hollyoaks Favourite over the past few months have been ones that have raised so much awareness, or have been ones that have had the viewers gripped from start to finish.
Hollyoaks chose to re-air these storylines; Mecredes McQueen's fourth trip down the aisle, and will she marry Dr. Browning?, Warren Fox makes his debut to the village - who doesn't love Warren played by the wonderful Jamie Lomas, Cameron takes his family hostage which is another one I absolutely loved getting to re-watch as it shows everyone what amazing actors Cameron Moore, Kirsty Porter and Ruby O'Donnell are, The Gloved-Hand Killer which was only storyline from 2015 that I loved watching, and getting the opportunity to re-watch as Sophie Austin was amazing throughout as was Jeff Rawle as Silas Bassett, Craig and John Paul's affair and the aftermath which I remember watching the first time around, and being even more gripped the second time around, Cindy's secret birth back from 1997, Laurie's comeuppance, Mandy and Darren's affair, The Bus Crash from 2013, The train crash and it's aftermath, Cleo & Mitchell alongside Cleo's battle with an eating disorder - Nadine Mulkerrin where do I start on your acting throughout these episodes one of my favourite actresses in the show. Max Cunningham's death on his wedding day, and Steph's sorrow which saw Carley Stenson's wonderful acting talent at the forefront, but one of the saddest episodes that re-aired was Mandy and Tony's heartbreak as their daughter died - what amazing performances from Sarah Jayne Dunn and Nick Pickard alongside many others wonderful episodes (if I named them all I would be here all night).
If you follow this blog you know I have written a few on my favourite scenes with Lisa Hunter's storyline as I remember watching it as a young viewer but second time around the emotions hit me, and made me realise how much awareness the storyline made all those years ago, and still did as it re-aired. However, another one I have to mention is Hannah Ashworth's eating disorder episodes which aired over the course of a week last year, I remember seeing so many people re-watching/ watching those episodes for the first time and saying these episodes are wonderful, and the emotions shown were honest - this goes to show that Hollyoaks is a show that has also been ready to tackle difficult subjects. Emma Rigby was just incredible throughout her portrayal seeing her win an award for it.
Thank you so much for all your support on my blogs it means the absolute world to me.
