SINGLE REVIEW - REYA JAYNE - HOW GOOD ARE YOU

Tomorrow (Friday 29th May) will see British singer-songwriter,  Reya Jayne release her second single, How Good Are You. How Good Are You starts with an upbeat guitar instrumental which is something that made me smile right from the start of this song. I got such a feeling from the song right from the start that as soon as Reya Jayne's vocals came in, I had goosebumps. The first verse sees Reya Jayne's soft vocals compliment the song-writing extremely well that I caught myself relating to some of the lyrics. There is something so special and unique about the way, Reya Jayne has written this song that leads you to feel many different emotions. The chorus is the part of that song that sees the lyrics just rolling off Reya Jayne's lips and you can hear the personal experience Reya Jayne has been through within the lyrics which is something I absolutely love and can't quite believe has been done so beautifully well. The last line of the chorus was something...

SINGLE REVIEW - EMILY FAYE - FEARLESS

This Friday (29th May) will see British singer-songwriter,  Emily Faye release her brand new and second single of 2020, Fearless. Fearless was co-written with Sue McMillan who also produced the single too. Fearless was mixed and Mastered by Adrian Hall. You can read my interview with Emily about Fearless  here . What Emily says about Fearless : 'For a long while, I was too afraid to tap into my vulnerability with my writing. I find it easier to write about other people’s stories and experiences. However, Fearless came from a place of vulnerability and courage, and the fact that they both come hand in hand. It’s raw and my absolute truth, and it basically shows my journey from trying to be perfect, to learning to accept that it’s ok not to be. I really hope you enjoy it and it speaks to you in one way or another.' Fearless starts with an beautifully slow instrumental with many different instruments. The first verse sees Emily's soft...

ALBUM REVIEW - KIP MOORE - WILD WORLD

This Friday (29th May) will see US singer-songwriter, Kip Moore release his latest album, Wild World. Wild World features 13 songs. Janie Blu starts with a guitar instrumental which supports the song throughout. The first verse sees Kip's rocky but upbeat vocals right from the off which I absolutely loved as it is so Kip whilst also allowing his wonderfully song-writing to come through. The lyrics are so catchy and ones that you can tell us been written based on a hard time especially as the chorus comes in. The chorus is my favourite part of the song as it allows listeners to get a real feel for who Kip is as an artist and for me its discovering another side to Kip which I am loving. The second verse continues the song wonderfully with guitar break down ahead of the lyrics starting up again which lead to some lyrics that get you thinking leading very nicely into the chorus. The final verse sees Kip's rocky and heartfelt vocal shine which I have to admit makes me f...

SINGLE REVIEW - KELSEY BOVEY - MAGNETIC

This Friday (22nd May) will see British Country Music singer-songwriter,  Kelsey Bovey release her latest single, Magnetic. Magnetic starts with an upbeat guitar instrumental giving you a real country feel right from the off with a little instrumental to get the song started in a wonderful style. The first verse of Magnetic sees Kelsey's soft along with a little vulnerable side too within her vocal range which allows the beautiful songwriting to shine through. You can really feel every single word Kelsey is singing throughout this verse especially into the chorus. The chorus sees Kelsey's vocal range develop a little further in a way that is nothing but beautiful as the chorus binds all of the verses together so beautifully that I couldn't help but get a little emotional over as at one time we can relate to this song one way or another in which Kelsey describes within her beautiful lyrics which are just wonderful. The second verse continues Magne...

EP REVIEW - CHASE RICE - THE ALBUM PART II

This Friday (15th May) will see US RIAA Diamond and Multi-Platinum selling songwriter & artist Chase Rice as he is set to release the follow up to January’s surprise release The Album Part I. The Album Part II is made up of 4 brand new songs. The Album Part II was produced by Chris DeStefano. You starts with a beautiful soft piano instrumental which happens to open the song wonderfully. The first verse sees Chase's crisp vocals take led on the song which I loved and opened the song up with one wonderful lyrics which leads the song fantastically into the chrous. The chorus of You is the part of the song that you get a real feel for the meaning within the song about the one person in your life who you can't live without and puts you back together when you are breaking or feel like you are - this message is what I love about this song. The second verse continues You beautifully and you continue to break a picture with the lyrics which are being sung - th...

SINGLE REVIEW - DANIELLE BRADBERY - NEVER HAVE I EVER

Image
Today (Friday 8th May) will see US singer-songwriter,  Danielle Bradbery  release her brand new single, Never Have I Ever. Photo taken by me at C2C 2018 Never Have I Ever starts with a piano instrumental which I have to say is something I love about Danielle's music. The first verse sees Danielle's start the song off with her softer vocal asking about the question of love, and whether she has actually ever been in love it's a story of growth as a person and being in love which has such a beautiful message within the song. The chorus is my favourite part of Never Have I Ever as it sees Danielle wearing her heart on her sleeve when she sings these lyrics, where you can't help but sing along whilst listening to the lyrics and relating them back to our own lives. The second verse continues Never Have I Ever wonderfully as the drum instrumental comes in adding another layer to the song. This verse is about the moment when you are chasing after that one special person...

DEBUT EP REVIEW - CHARLOTTE YOUNG - BLOWN AWAY

This Friday (8th May) will see UK based singer-songwriter from Birmingham, Charlotte Young release her debut EP, Blown Away. Blown Away is made up of 4 tracks. Whiplash starts with a guitar instrumental which gives you a wonderful feel for the way that the song is going to go and within the first line, I loved the tone of the song. The first verse allows Charlotte to show everyone her amazing soft vocal that allows the songwriting to come through. The message within Whiplash is one that I didn't expect by one that I loved hearing. There is something so magical about Charlotte's vocal range throughout the whole song especially the first verse into it's chorus. The chorus allows Charlotte's soulful vocal range to shine through with the catchiness of the lyrics. Charlotte's little higher vocal range was wonderful ahead of it's lyrics being a little more upbeat. The second verse of Whiplash continues the storytelling within the song wonderfully and I am in aw...

SINGLE REVIEW - DANNY McMAHON - MY KINDA CITY

Next Friday (15th May) will see British singer-songwriter,  Danny McMahon who is set to release his brand new single, My Kinda City. My Kinda City was co-written with US songwriter, Tyler Bank. My Kinda City starts with an quirky and upbeat guitar instrumental alongside a few other instruments which I love right from the off and I am pleased it stays throughout. The first verse sees Danny's crisp vocal have its moment to shine which loads the lyrics to shine in it's most beautiful way as the lyrics are ones that are catchy and very relatable about that one city we all love but wasn't expecting it and all the memories we have from that very special place. I love the picture you get in your mind whilst listening to the lyrics. The chorus continues My Kinda City with catchiness of the track beautifully getting you reconnected with that one beautiful place you had the pleasure of visiting and the company you had during this track making this song, one that is...

SINGLE REVIEW - JADE HELLIWELL - THE MOMENT

Today (Friday 1st May) will see British singer-songwriter,  Jade Helliwell release her brand new single, The Moment. You can read my interview with Jade here . The Moment starts with a soft piano instrumental which I have to admit gives a lot of feels to the song which I happen to think a lot of Jade's fans will like. The first verse showcases Jade's softer and meaningful vocal range thanks to it's wonderfully incredible lyrics which goes to show what an incredible songwriter, Jade is. The lyrics are very poignant and delivered in a way that I don't ever think, I have heard Jade (and I mean that has a compliment). The chorus is the part of the song that gave me goosebumps as I was listening to the meaningful lyrics especially in the few, I could relate too. I like how also within the chorus, the listeners are allowed their own interruptions on the lyrics as it allows you that time to reflect. Jade's soulful vocal on this part was very cleverly done at ...
