INTERVIEW WITH AMERICAN BLONDE ABOUT THEIR LATEST SINGLE, BROKE BRIDESMAID

On Friday 13th September, American Blonde released their brand-new single, Broke Bridesmaid, and I recently caught up with Natalia and Christina to talk about the single and their plans for the rest of the year.

Hey Natalia and Tinka, it's been a very long time since we last did this. How are you?
Hi Kellie! We have been so great! It has definitely been a busy year, that’s for sure! We are so happy to chat with you again! 

You recently released your brand-new single, Broke Bridesmaid can you please tell us a little about the song?
"Broke Bridesmaid" is an upbeat, funny song poking fun at the struggle of saving up and being responsible, especially when you get hit with another financial obligation when wedding season rolls around! There is no doubt that wedding culture has gotten a little out of hand, but at the end of the day, you will go above and beyond for the ones you love!

What made you want to release the song now?
We felt like it was the perfect time to release "Broke Bridesmaid" because I, Nata just recently got married! So amongst planning for my own wedding, Tinka jokingly said to me “guess it’s my turn to be the “broke bridesmaid!” reminding me of the song that I wrote shortly after being one in her wedding two years prior! We have both been bridesmaids for the last three years now in other friends’ and families’ weddings  and with many more on the horizon, we felt like now was the most perfect time to release!

I have to say how different Broke Bridesmaid is to your previous music and I have to say I am loving the change within your music. Would you say you have changed your style within the release of this song? As it seems a little more relaxed.
Well thank you, Kellie! Yes, we did something a little different with this track. We brought in a new friend of ours, Jess Grommet to help us produce since this song was leaning more towards a funny, upbeat topic. We think he completely nailed the vision for this song, and we gotta tell ya - we are absolutely loving the response for it so far!

Natalia, you wrote the song what was the imagination behind the song?
Fun fact: I actually wrote "Broke Bridesmaid" after being the maid of honor in Tinka’s wedding back in 2022! She had just gone on her honeymoon, and just like clock-work, I was immediately asked to be in three more of my friends’ weddings. I remember looking back on how much fun I had helping Tinka celebrate her wedding season, and looking forward to all of the celebrating I get to help create with my other friends, but was wondering how I was going to afford all of them, haha! “Between the hair, nails, dress, gifts, bridal showers, flights, drinks, bachelorette trips” and MORE… it can get pretty pricey!

Also, you recently got married Natalia - how was the most magical day of your life?
Oh it was the best day ever. We were surrounded by everyone we know and love, the venue was absolutely beautiful, and of course, I got to marry my best friend!! We wouldn’t change a thing!

Did the song play a special part in your day for your bridesmaids?
Well of course! Our favorite moment was breaking it down on the dance floor with all of my bridesmaids to the new song, wearing our "Broke Bridesmaid" hats. We had many moments throughout the day where our bridesmaids sang and danced along, and it really brought some fun energy for everyone throughout the day!

Can you sum up Broke Bridesmaid in 3 words?
Exciting, Honorable, Expensive - haha!

With 2024 coming to a close what are the plans for the last few months of 2024?
We are working on a lot of behind-the-scenes branding throughout the rest of the year! We will be spending the time writing new songs, hitting the studio, and preparing for new adventures 2025 will bring!

Finally, I have to ask when can we expect you here in the UK?
We sure would love to come back! We want to make sure the next time we do that we can hit all of our favorite cities and make the most of it! You will definitely be the first to know when we do! *smiles*

HOLLYOAKS REVIEW - ISABELLE SMITH CAPTURES THE EMOTIONAL AND VULNERABLE SIDE OF FRANKIE BRILLIANTLY

It's hard to believe that Isabelle Smith only arrived on our screens in the Chester based soap Hollyoaks in January 2024 which has seen her character, Frankie Osborne go through some tough times. Over the past few months in Hollyoaks, Frankie Osborne has had a tough time, but viewers have seen Grace Black support Frankie during Monday 22nd July's episode on E4 where Frankie opened up to her uncle, Freddie Roscoe who was in a coma at the time.  You could see a change in the character once this had happened as the vulnerability shines through in an emotional scene. You can really understand the turmoil in Frankie as all she wants to do is protect her loved ones. HOLLYOAKS REVIEW - FRANKIE OPENED UP AS ISABELLE SMITH DELIVERS SOME EMOTIONAL SCENES

Since Isabelle Smith  arrived on our screens back in January, Hollyoaks viewers have seen a hard-hitting storyline for her character, Frankie Osborne who since  February has had tough relationships with Osborne family especially Nancy and Jack, and looking back now you can see the cries for help with her moods, attitude, and vulnerability that have changed across the past 6 months. Frankie's used dance as her escape seeing her audition for dance school. With Darren having been the one wanting to protect Frankie with everything that has arose. One of my favourite moments was Frankie learning sign language so she could communicate with Oscar allowing people to see the caring side to the character. The first appearance of Frankie Osborne came in Wednesday's episode (4th September) where her dance place got deferred leaving her devastated as Darren continued to support Frankie seeing her become emotional about her return to school it was clear how much Darren has Frankie's best
