EMMERDALE WEEKLY REVIEW - AS AMELIA HAS A TOUGH WEEK

During this week's episodes, Emmerdale viewers saw a tough week for new mum, Amelia Spencer as her daughter returned home from hospital then following Samson Dingle's drastic action.

The week started as Amelia Spencer told Sam Dingle that her daughter, Esther will be coming home after spending few weeks in hospital following her premature birth, as Sam pushed Samson Dingle into agreeing to accompany Amelia to collect their daughter the next day. Oh, Sam why are you forcing Samson?!
What a lovely moment when Amelia called into Noah Dingle's to see the swivel chair that he'd made seeing Amelia open up. You can understand the anxiety she has. The caring and reassurance from Noah was needed, however, as Noah asked to go with Amelia to collect Esther she quickly told him about Samson going. Noah looked let down, he's been there more for Amelia than Samson ever has.

Tuesday saw Amelia bring her daughter, Esther home as Sam and Lydia Dingle waited on the doorstep as they arrived home. Love the touching banner from Noah. Amelia wanting to do her best for Esther, Samson quickly walked away. With Amelia then going to find Samson where she opened up to him about how she felt, I really feel for Amelia every new mum have their struggles its normal.

With Amelia continuing to struggle Wednesday was full of many tough moments as Dan Spencer told her that she's doing a brilliant job. It's the little things in the early days of parenthood which mean the most! It was lovely to see Jacob ask after Esther. It was in the cafe when Amelia walked in with Esther, but the honesty in the conversation with Lydia and Noah got me thinking the way that Noah supported his girlfriend was rather sweet especially his heartfelt words.

After Lydia's suggestion, Samson stepped in to look after Esther, he wasn't thrilled. Samson's harsh words had me shouting at the TV. Samson, you seriously need to think about your words turning the tables wasn't needed! Amelia is doing a brilliant job she needs support. Amelia standing up for herself is fantastic and the way Noah has stepped up means a lot especially as he told her his a cot in his room to help out showed just how serious he is about sticking by Amelia and Esther.
The vulnerability from Daisy Campbell's acting was heartbreaking at times especially as the week continued. Noah sticking up for Amelia and Esther against Samson, Noah really has changed and for the better.

Thursday's hour long saw social worker, Beth arrive on Dan's doorstep as Amelia left Noah's following Samson's call I get his struggling, he really should think about his actions which frustrated me.
At Jacob's Fold, Amelia, Noah, Dan along with Beth gather as they spoke about the complaint, I'm glad they looked into things properly and the way Noah wasn't afraid to admit to his past you could see how committed he is to Amelia and Esther. It's fantastic to see Charity Dingle getting involved with supportive words as Charity looked out for her son. As Amelia did everything to protect Esther, you could see a scared young mum wanting what's best for her new-born daughter. The way that Amelia wanted Noah to stay with her saw how much she needed him rather than him getting in trouble, the moment that followed was touching as Amelia wanted Noah with her - Noah, Amelia and Esther as a family unit was a simple and beautiful scene.
As Beth came to Wishing Well to speak to Samson, Lydia and Sam knew it was him as Charity and Dan arrived to see him following what he did. Charity protecting Noah as well as Amelia and Esther she really is someone you'd want on your side.

The week ended with Dan and Amelia bumping into Lydia and Sam as Amelia told them about social services finding her to be a good mum. However, sadness came from Lydia and Sam as they told Amelia about them wanting nothing to do with Esther despite Amelia telling them they should be a part of Esther's life, which they later decided wasn't best for them.
It was fantastic to hear Lydia say that Amelia has been the making of Noah going on to say they make a lovely young couple, leading a sweet moment later in the episode as Noah asked Amelia out on their first official date - there so sweet together! The compliments were very much needed.
Meanwhile, Kerry Wyatt spoke to Amelia about leaving, you could see the sadness in Daisy Campbell's face.

The week's episodes were written by Sarah Hooper, Isobel Cameron, Joanna Ebuwa, Samantha Doland de Vaux, and Karin Young with Peter Chipping having directed Monday, followed by Alan Wareing for the rest of the week.

These episodes of Emmerdale aired between Monday 14th - Friday 18th November on ITV at 7.30pm with an hour long on Thursday 17th November.
