CHRISTMAS SINGLE REVIEW - TWINNIE - ELF YOURSELF

Today (Friday 25th November) will see British singer-songwriter, Twinnie release her Christmas single, Elf Yourself.


Elf Yourself starts with Twinnie's crisp vocal alongside a guitar instrumental that I have to say I love the mix off.
The first verse has a rather special heartfelt Christmassy feel about our loved ones, and how precious they are. The take on the lyrics is a rather precious one even from the song takes a different road to what you are expecting. Twinnie's vocal tones are fantastic especially heading into the chorus thanks to the brilliant uplifting tones.
The chorus is the part of Elf Yourself that is upbeat bringing that special Christmas spirit that we all love to hear within a Christmas song. Elf Yourself has definitely got me in the Christmas spirit which I really appreciate. The more, I hear the chorus the more I love the lyrics.
The second verse sees Twinnie's sassy side come out within the storytelling which is very much appreciated allowing for the Twinnie was know and love to have her moment to shine.
There is something so beautiful about the way that Twinnie delivers this song - there is something so fantastic about Lucie Silvas and Jon Osborne's song-writing that is so beautiful and suits Twinnie very well.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. The chorus features many catchy upbeat lyrics that I could myself singing along with despite not knowing the lyrics 100% typical Kellie. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
