SINGLE REVIEW - BETH BROOKFIELD - CHASING AFTER YOU

Today (Friday 22nd February) will see singer-songwriter, Beth Brookfield who is from the Isle of Wight release her brand new single, Chasing After You.

Chasing After You starts with guitar instrumental opening the song up beautifully alongside this quirkiness which I absolutely love.
The first verse sees Beth's vocals opening the song with many emotional heartfelt lyrics that get you thinking and relating to certain situations in our own lives right from the start - you can hear that Beth has written this song from a place of hurt and her own personal experience is at the forefront making it even more captivating.
As the song develops you can hear this wonderful questioning of yourself and the choices you have made based on those certain situations - we have all been in at one time or another if we are honest with ourselves.
The moment the chorus comes in the lyrics hit with a new kind of emotion, and one that gets you thinking with a lot more emotion as its like you can't quite pin point what is exactly wrong, yet you know you are going around in a big circle with nothing changing at the end of it all. When Chasing After You heads into the second verse my god do you the circling of the situation even more and realising that now its time to be the change that is needed (only you can make that decision though). The softer vocals are everything from Beth especially as the song goes into the final verse wonderfully bringing this gorgeous song to the most wonderful end with the chorus being repeated for a final time.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
