Home Team starts with a funky and upbeat instrumental giving off this super fun summery vibe. The first verse sees Karli's upbeat vocal at the forefront with her childhood moments being sung straight off which many people will be able to relate with as it gives me this really homely feel to the single. There is something so wonderful about Karli's vocal tone on this verse that has me wanting me even more despite what we have being fantastic with me at times getting a little emotional because of myself being able to connect with the lyrics. The chorus of Home Team features some of the honest, and incredible lyrics which have me wanting to sing along because of the pure honesty, and the real home town feel - makes me want to relive my childhood. Home Team is one song, I am very excited about adding to my summer road trip playlist. The second verse of Home Team continues with message of the song becoming one that is able to connect with many more people as everyone has that one group of friends that you contact no matter what or that family member they tell everything too - Home Team is about those moments! The final verse of Home Team sees the softer vocal tone from Karli being demonstrated adding another dynamic to the song that leads perfectly into the final chorus of the song.

Makes You Pretty starts with an electric guitar instrumental allowing for the EP to have a different feel which I very much appreciated. The first verse sees Karli's soft vocal tone with her vulnerability at the forefront with these social media posts we all have done to make ourselves pretty especially as females. I very much appreciate the lyrics and its story as I caught myself relating to them. The chorus features some of the most beautiful heartfelt lyrics that allow for this beautiful storytelling to be bought to life. Karli's vocal tone is stunning. The second verse of Make You Pretty continues with even more lyrics that listeners will be able to relate with especially as I am extremely guilty of using filters to make myself prettier when actually we are all beautiful without filters. The female empowerment message is rather poignant. The instrumental break up is perfectly timed as it heads into the bridge of the song with its most poignant lyrics. The chorus brings Makes You Pretty to the most fabulous end.

Church To Pray has an electric instrumental that I absolutely adore right from the off allowing for this softer emotional side of Karli's songwriting to shine through right from the start. The first verse sees Karli's soft and pure tone at the forefront allowing for the lyrics to have their moment in the spotlight telling this wonderful heartfelt story that I caught myself being captivated by. The chorus includes some the most gorgeous lyrics with this wonderful story behind them that allows for the listeners to paint their own picture too. The second verse of Church You Pray continues with even more heartfelt lyrics that you can hear Karli has written from her heart based on her life. This is definitely a song that explains Karli's 'Where You Come From' album title meaning. The final verse allows the song to come to the most natural end along with the chorus being repeated.

Heart Drunk starts with a slow and quirky instrumental which supports Karli's soft vocals. The first verse takes you on one hell of a journey allowing thanks to Karli's honesty which is shown throughout. The chorus features some of the lost relatable lyrics that are also catchy. Heart Drink is definitely one of those songs that will get people up and one their feet dancing and singing along. The second verse of Heart Drunk continues with even more of a heartfelt personal feel that I have nothing but admiration for thanks to the extremely relatable lyrics. The chorus blends perfectly to every single part of the song. The guitar instrumental that joins is perfectly timed. The bridge is timed wonderfully as it displays the songs key lyrics. With softer vocals from Karli continue to take you on a journey as we continue to get to know who she is as an artist.

The List opens up with an soft instrumental which I really appreciated hearing as it opened with Karli's softer tone on the first verse allowing for the lyrics to shine through right from the start. The lyrics are ones that get the listeners thinking taking them on a rather personal journey. The chorus features some of those lyrics that you really appreciate hearing, however with Karli's soft crisp vocal it was in a way that is really personal to every listener. The second verse of The List was one that had me emotional because I caught myself relating and getting a little emotional over the lyrics for this reason. The chorus links to every single verse incredibly adding another layer to the song. Karli displayed her higher vocal ahead of the final chorus which made the song even more emotional especially as the softer tone returned for the final chorus bringing the song beautifully together.

Big For A Small Town starts with an upbeat instrumental which closes this debut EP from Karli wonderfully. The first verse sees Karli's crisp vocal tone at the forefront with lyrics that get us listeners on a journey that is very moving as it sounds like it is Karli's musical journey. The lyrics are very homely with the proud of your hometown vibe that is very much appreciated upon hearing this songs lyrics and meaning. The second verse continues with the poignant message of how out hometowns are so important in our journeys throughout life. The more I hear Big For A Small Town the more I appreciate and have this new love for the songs lyrics and journey.
Big For A Small Town is one of those songs that displays beautifully what a wonderful artist, Karli is.
